disabled modeler Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Are they only available through mail order..?..and how much...?
gtx6970 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Yesterday the mail man dropped off my latest . And original issue SMP 1959 Corvette builtup. I ts had the goofy custom stuff glued to it but not real heavily and should clean up without to much effort. Best part it was pretty reasonable all things considered. Bonus was its in its original box .
unclescott58 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Are they only available through mail order..?..and how much...?Go to Auto World's web site. I know I paid less than $20.00 for mine with shipping. Though I did also use a $5.00 off coupon that came with buying their catalog.

unclescott58 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Not bad... How tall is he Scott...?It sounds small, but he is only 4" high. Like I say, it sounds small. But, it seems big enough.

martinfan5 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Kind of went a little bit overboard ordering paint from Tower Hobbies during their free shipping for Black/cyber sales, also purchased the 918, but it was shipped from a different warehouse and not arrived yet. Really, I just needed to restock my flat black and SGB bottles........
ChrisBcritter Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Took advantage of this week's 25% off on models special at Hobby Lobby to pick up a set of AMT wide and narrow whitewalls, and used my 40% off coupon to get an erasing shield - it's photoetched mesh in a circle pattern that's a very close match to grille of the '58 Ford I'm working on: The area isn't too large (2 1/4" x 3 3/8") but it was only $3.49 before the discount - handy if you need a small piece. StevenGuthmiller Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Nice finds Christian! I have one of the Hobby Heaven repops of the '70 Ford. Not sure if I'll ever build it. I've already pirated a few parts from it. Steve

StevenGuthmiller Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Steve... the Hobby Heaven 70 Galaxie 4 door sedan is different for the 70 LTD 4 door HT version...there both good kits.Yup, the Hobby Heaven kit is a 4 door sedan with all of the police car parts. Steve
disabled modeler Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Yup, the Hobby Heaven kit is a 4 door sedan with all of the police car parts. SteveI thought you knew about them both.....been after the LTD for years...we once owned one.
unclescott58 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Steve... the Hobby Heaven 70 Galaxie 4 door sedan is different for the 70 LTD 4 door HT version...there both good kits.Ah. But using parts from Modelhaus you can easily convert the Galaxie back to the LTD. As I did recently.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I thought you knew about them both.....been after the LTD for years...we once owned one.I don't know a lot about them.I'm not much for 4 door cars so I never really had much interest in these kits.I picked up the Hobby heaven Galaxie years ago on a whim. Steve

disabled modeler Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Not sure that there's many inside the USA that can claim it! Steve Not many...there odd and many do not like them or snap and curbside kits. I have never minded if they were or not...at times I prefer them over the others. Me I love the 60s 4 doors and wagons...not every car on any given street is a top of the line muscle car and its nice to be able to break from them at times....
Renegade Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Picked these up at the flea market this weekend. Bought the Harley Saturday for $2.00 and the rest Sunday for $4.00. Not a bad deal for $6.00 total investment.
