Nice find. I've been eyeing up that one, the flying bridge cruiser moulded in ugly swirly brown and the '59 Owens kit since the "Old Wooden Boats"? topic came about.  Reminds of of the SS Minnow.

My dad and his uncle had 2 smaller boats when I was a kid (One was a Chris craft, even though it was a lot smaller). Maybe I'll give it to my dad when its finished. There is a pic of the Christ craft somewhere. A few when it was in our shop. They got it for a song because somebody left a running hose in it and it sunk at the dock. They put a new inboard- outboard engine in it and got it back up and running.

I built this a few years ago from a Revell reissue. It really is a nice kit with a little detailing. I put it in a nice display case and gave it to a friend. I may have to get another.

A pair of rough 1/16 scale Schuco Mercedes C111 toys. The C111 was always one of my favorite big sports cars, along with the Miura and the GT40.

There were several rebodies over the run of prototypes, with styling elements mixed and matched somewhat.

The Schuco version is a fairly accurate rendition of the one I prefer, and it's a close enough starting point to make into a very accurate styling model.

And a couple more 1/16 kits, significantly under market prices...which is pretty much the only way I buy anything these days. Already moved West was a case of the flathead V8-engined roadster hot-rod derived from the same tooling.

As a little kid, I used to read this massive stack of 70s-80s Car & Drivers that my dad had in the junk room. I loved this car so much. I imagined myself with one of these and a Countach as my daily drivers.

I wish there were a 1/24th kit or diecast available at a decent price!

There is at least one 1/24 scale kit, which I bought with high hopes, but the one I have is an awful, poorly scaled, poorly proportioned mess.

It would take a whole lotta hacking and resculpting to make anything that actually looks like a C111.

Picked up this glue bomb today.  There are a bunch of extra parts in the box and a set of untouched decals and instructions.  Not positive, but it looks like it might be complete.

Did a Hobby Lobby run today…picked up a fresh AMT T kit (got more T Buckets that I want to make), some cheapo acrylic paint (I like this for washes, or brush painting the inside of stuff), some artist’s acrylics that I think will be useful for weathering/rust projects at some point, some Vallejo paint plus a few tools.  I like their file set, I’ve been using it all day on some scratchbuilding I was working on!

Not exactly today, but acquisitions over the last few weeks:

These came as a lot, won at a remarkably decent price. I have a kit which has the 12-spoke wheels and I broke one of them. I was always hoping to get a spare someday, seems like I over-compensated....

This has been started and will take a bit of work.

Bought fairly cheap, primarily for its engine, running gear etc. The tyres might be of use on a current project.

I picked up the C1 transkit a while back, 'made sense' to get this to fit what it was designed for (tried it on the Aoshima kit I have and it was close, but not quite right).

Another cheapie, started and paint will need stripping. I was mostly interested in the 13" wheels - Watanabes and the original Dunlops will be useful on smaller 1970s Japanese cars/trucks. The twin-cam engine could be useful on a Seven or maybe even an Escort, and then maybe something else can be fitted into the Europa? As much as anything, the 1:1s were made under 20 miles from where I live it seems right to have one in the stash.

Purchases from that same show. $50.00 for all three! The Impala was only $10, because the interior was badly painted & the engine is glued together. The pickup was only $15.

The raffle table at a contest/show is a lot like a canned food drive. People get an opportunity to clean out their cupboards of the things they have had for many years, & will never eat (or in our case build, can't sell).

This inspired me to go hunting for a Jeepster kit. These have always been fascinating to me although in real life they're clunky and old fashioned.

Anyway, what I ended up with is an MPC Mount'n Goat. I watched the HPI Guy review and decided it would scratch the itch! Not the best front end on these, but if it's good enough for Freiberger...

Got this box of kits from an auction. There were two pictures, none of the contents, and an almost nonexistent description but I took a shot in the dark.

All kits were sealed inside and un-started but the 32 has a little sanding work done on it.

I like the old jeepsters look too but those can be pricey for a nice complete kit. The AMT /stevenshobbies.com Mount 'N Goat Jeep Commando has the flat hood instead of the hump hood. That's what I ended up with for now.

No it does not. The MPC jeepster Commando Hombre off- road kit also has the flat hood.

I'm not so sure. Watch the HPI Guy review. I think there are two hoods.

Edit: I think there is a stock hood with an optional hood scoop.

I went back to the video and looked and also looked at the photo of the parts included from the kits bottom. One hood and it's got the hump..

I went back again and watched a different unboxing video and you are correct your kit does have a separate hood with a optional hump/scoop. The hood is not completely flat, it has some rise to it. I also dug out my Stevens international kit and its the same as your kit.. My bad.. I thought I had remembered it being flatter. ?
