I also don't understand the shipped by Autoworld with a Hobby Lobby sticker. But when ordering from Amazon, you do have the choice for items to be shipped in... manufacturer's package...or packaged by shipper in additional packaging.

FYI for later...

Thanks, never realized that.

Arrived Saturday, 11/22/2025. (Not today)

I built the original release as a Cub Scouts project way back when... I've been waiting for this kit to be repopped since the late 70s when my younger brother, whom I shared a room with, threw all my models into the trash when I went away to tech college. Furthermore, even though I have continued buying kits "to build", I haven't finished one since my first wife left in 1983. Since this one will be built straight out of the box with plug wires and fuel lines added, (I'm an AVID kitbash guy), it just MIGHT be the one that gets me over the "not completed" hump. That's the plan, anyway, as well as building the second as a phantom Beadle & Schmidt Blue Max funny car.

More Ebay discoveries, all from the same seller, delivered Monday, 11/25/2025.

I expected the Paddy Wagon and the Fruit Wagon to be reissues from 2014-2015, but they both ended up to be original 1969 releases, still in their original plastic wrap. Now I'm not sure if I want to cut the plastic wrap and break the seals to build them... What's a grown boy to do?!? (Remember when MSRP for model kits was $2.00? Check out the KMart price tag on the Fruit Wagon, discounted to $1.44. That equals about $9.55 in today's US Dollars, think about how THAT price would include your stash acquisition budget!...

Wholy Cow! That's an amazing find, did the price lead you to believe they were re-issued?

Assuming this is in reference to the "mixing beads"? I had wondered if the copper would have a weird effect on the paint.

I think most guys use stainless steel.nI ususally just stir mine.

Nothing too exciting, but, it's been a spell, since I have been able to buy anything. I got an assortment of 30" belts for my disc/belt sander, and a bottle of Fusionfirm Chrome. I still have some radiator mesh, mold putty, the 2025 car contest annual from Kalmbach and a Tamiya 240Z (Blue version) on the way. I've been wanting one of the Zs, since they came out! I must like them, because I have Revell versions in three different boxes, including an original, like the one I had way back when!

Not specifically the price, which WAS comparable to the other re-issues listed and currently listed, but more just the fact that they were available.

$2.00 retail price kits were $1.44 at K-Mart every day.  When they went to $2.25 in the early Seventies, K-Mart went to $1.66.

I have bought a ton of stuff directly from Autoworld.  Always packed carefully in a box, never any problems. Although they did used to ship a catalog with thier orders, last few orders I've noticed they don't include one now. (Not a deal killer though). Thats whats confusing, Fulfilled by Autoworld,  but with a Hobby Lobby price tag on it.

Definitely odd. The HL tag usually means the kit was bought by an individual on their 40% sale or on clearance to be resold.

This showed up in the mail today! This past weekend I went to the Goodguys Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale Arizona. On Saturday I got to see Don Nicholson's Mustang 2 pro stock car, and his great nephew, also Don Nicholson was there with the car. My Grandpa, Dad, and I got to talking with him about Dyno and John Kasse. My Grandpa shared the story of how he had dinner with the original Don Nicholson in the late 70s in Ottumwa IA while Dyno was racing the Mustang in Eddyville IA. 20251122_142453.jpg.8efe59f6fe41ed31f014ef2b543a6ade.jpg20251122_142501.jpg.07d0f94803c2b8853d389481e88b036e.jpg20251122_142520.jpg.be5dae8cb275dd59c7120c74b523cd44.jpg20251122_142609.jpg.937cf018f96384bbcf80f8250151b4ec.jpg

Anyway, that was my 16th Birthday weekend and somehow that got brought up so he told me to email him my address. And this is what came in the mail today.20251128_144946.jpg.3ed8396a59405bdddfe9f2b9688f5f71.jpg20251128_144953.jpg.ee67b2f863ed40a947f281e1a9f3aa3e.jpg20251128_145003.jpg.2d7cd95d2b48730d5a13c945f62e35f3.jpg20251128_145014.jpg.9b6cd38eb8bd991e1a45f7fd0b8a12c4.jpg20251128_145023.jpg.5ffba4977656c6f927c41268611e47d3.jpg20251128_145058.jpg.c6ca3ba5e3c0862fb04b7262fe482912.jpg20251128_145126.jpg.de459bb7642d54d470a1e847f22e988a.jpg

NIce and the Bronco is the surprise! I will have to spin by there tomorrow.

I almost walked right by them, there was a stack of 'em with the Christmas toys. Not near the rest of the kits. These have a hobby lobby sticker under the ollies price. Someone else on the forum mentioned the same thing.

Mail call today. 1985 Mustang SVO sealed inside the box from Ebay, and a Richard Petty donor model Roadrunner, with correct decals from 1971 from Mike's Decals This was a much cheaper option than trying to find an original MPC kit on Ebay.

Oh, and a Ford GT40 purchased locally.

Today I hit my LHS for his Black Friday sale, and it was bitter sweet. I learned this year was his 25th year and in March he retires.

So I picked up a few kits and some supplies, I did learn that the one color I was looking for he will have so tomorrow I can go and pick it up. I am gonna try and grab 2 more kits as well.

As a teen growing up durning the custom van spree, I couldn't get enough of the kits to satisfy my lust for the craze. Now that I'm much older and have a daughter of my own, I can understand why my parents were opposed to me having a van as my first ride.. so from the land of ebay, an original issued sealed kit. 🤔°° now I've gotta have more..😁 I  see that the Revell Stranger then things '77 Gmc Squawk van kit comes out sometime soon.

Well this looks like the last time buying through ebay! We've changed to Windows 11 and getting connected to anywhere is an absolute nightmare! We use a land line phone and only email to communicate with family and friends, and now get anywhere to log into ebay, like a discrimination!
