Rob Hall Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Got a MIB unbuilt MPC '78 Firebird Trans Am today...first one I've had molded in white w/ the solid roof. I've had plans for a while to build a Rockford Files car replica, and this is a good starting point. I've built a couple of the later MPC '78 kits (black & gold box art) and they had the t-tops pre cut, IIRC. Also some Missing Link Resin parts, incl. a '77-81 Firebird Formula hood..plan to do a '79 Formula using an MPC '79 T/A kit that's on it's way...
Eric Stone Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I picked up a JoHan Petty '64 Belvedere, and a JoHan '62 Dodge Dart, both sealed. The owner of the LHS bought a collection of kits from an estate sale. They were mostly airplanes, a couple ships, a few armor, and a small handfull of cars. We tried to figure out what the JoHans were worth, did a little looking on eBay, and struck a deal. I think I did ok. Gotta figure out what to do with them now...
imatt88 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Hey all, I stopped by a buddy's junk shop today for giggles, and I found these.. Cigar box full of tires and rims..can't go wrong and this, no idea who made it. It was complete except for missing decals A '64 T-Bird, I'm guessing 1/32nd scale? Multi piece body, no chrome, only silver colored plastic It was sitting on a shelf with some puzzles, probably looked at it a thousand time and it never registered.. picked it up for 50 cents Anyway, thats it for today Cheers, Ian
Casey Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I visited Model Empire's open house after not having attended for a few years, and boy was I glad I did. I picked up at least six gallon size Zipoloc bags full of parts, and I still have the last two to go through. So far I've found almost two '66 Malibu Street Rats, an original MPC '67 Camaro pace car 'vert body, at least one 1/25 Revell '69 Firebird, lots of Corvette parts, a built up 1/16 Porsche 928 for $1.00, chrome sprues for the MPC '72, '78, and '79 Dodge pickups, Badman parts, a Fred Cady Sunoco '69 Cmaro decal sheet, and more. I'll try to post some pics later.

Lownslow Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 the billet style wheels from that kit fit the Pegasus lowrider tires? yeah the pegasus 1109s are 2 piece wheels so if you take out the spokes most amt wheels slide in with no problem and you get a nice reverse wheel.
