Fabrux Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 [picture of Tamiya 1:20 McLaren M23 1976] One of these was raffled off at my club's last show. The winner was an armour guy and had no interest in the kit at all. He was trying to sell it for full price!

ChrisPflug Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Got some MPC Vettes- the '64 was the first kit released by MPC- it and the '66 are pretty much complete and easy rebuilders. The seller had them listed separately with parts mixed up between the two so I bid on both The Streaker Vette is just cool although the wheels will probably find their way to another 70s street machine project
Casey Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Those MPC big 'n' little 5-slot wheels are great. Street Freak alert! Edited February 27, 2012 by Casey

Casey Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Casey, you like doing the 1/32 stuff huh? Lately I do. I never bought the 1/32 vans when I was young and they were out, so I'm getting them now.
martinfan5 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Lately I do. I never bought the 1/32 vans when I was young and they were out, so I'm getting them now. Thats cool, I never seen those van kits before, they are cool , I just love van kits, well not all van kits , but most of them
jayhkr Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Just picked up my Paasche H airbrush and some creatix paint to fiddle with till I am comfortable. This should be fun in the apartment with the loudest air compressor I could find!! (I don't like my upstairs neighbors very much)
Evil Appetite Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Got some MPC Vettes- the '64 was the first kit released by MPC- it and the '66 are pretty much complete and easy rebuilders. The seller had them listed separately with parts mixed up between the two so I bid on both The Streaker Vette is just cool although the wheels will probably find their way to another 70s street machine project I love that Streaker Vette...it's one of the first kits I ever built..i remember buying that one along with Night Stalker. I bought them both off of eBay a few years back....I dont want to open them though! Eventually I'll crack'em open and build'em. Until then, I'll just admire the box art!! hehe
Evil Appetite Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I dont usually get impressed over the hobby tools that I buy..but this thing is incredible..well worth the $50 I spent on it. I thought for sure I had a few hundred dollars worth of paint that had gone bad...5 minutes on this babyt and it's like new again. The caps that I could not open because the paint had sealed them were also worked loose by the vibration. Highly Recommended!
crazyjim Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I've been thinking about one of those for a long time. it works good, huh? Some of those units are white and some are black. I wonder why? Looks like you got the electric one and there's a battery unit too.
