Jon Cole Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Got the Ford Phantom Van yesterday for 30% off. Now I need to plan to lengthen the body using the Juke Box Van to replicate my old van...
Nick Winter Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Jon, that's a very Cool Van! Jim's decals are fantastic, I wish he could get caught up finally so I could put in an order... James, I used a set of his decals on my '97 Toronto Metro car, loved the decals, influenced the decision to buy these ones and maybe in the future more. Nick
Jordan White Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Just visited probably the largest model store I've been to... (This was just the model cars isle!) And I stumbled across this for $75. It's an Otaki brand 1/12 scale Mercedes 450SLC AMG If the drier dials don't give it away, here's my hand for size reference. Instructions and inside of box. Kit looks very detailed, has opening hood, trunk, and doors. Honestly, this is personally my holy grail of kit finds and I can't wait to build it!
Jordan White Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Minneapolis, MN...quite a ways away from Tennessee!
Roadkill2525 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Got my fourth Revell BRE Datsun 240Z in a club raffle.
Casey Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Minneapolis, MN...quite a ways away from Tennessee! Which store is that, Jordan? It looks semi-familiar, as I was in a few Twin Cities HSs in '93 or so.

Chuck Most Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I got a Bronco Models 1/35th scale Buffalo 6x6 military vehicle that usually goes for 62 bucks ( ebay ) or 85 retail. I got it for $40 !!!!!!!!! I've been wanting to get one of those... doubt I'll find one for 40 or less, though!

Jordan White Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Which store is that, Jordan? It looks semi-familiar, as I was in a few Twin Cities HSs in '93 or so. Scale Model Supplies, and I guess it's in St. Paul and not Minneapolis.
Tom Setzer Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I got notficatio that the insurance has finally agree to a settlement, and that I will receive a check for the full amount of my content loses by the end of this week, and that the full amount that we claimed to rebuild the house will go into an escrow account to pay the contracters that rebuild it!

ffreak Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 http://www.plastikot...ore-locator.jsp Thanks Tom. I found 3 locations within 30 miles. I will call to see if they have the sandable primer in stock.
Rob Hall Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Picked up the Revell '50 Olds and '68 Firebird Foose yesterday at my LHS. The wheels/tires of the Firebird are dissapointing, but I'll probably use some Pegasus wheels and tires on it and the engine from a Revell '10 Camaro SS. Main thing interesting about the kit are the decals.
Nick Winter Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Spoiled myself today, they need a good cleaning and professionally polished but I like em and didn't pay to much. Got to chat with a fellow Mopar enthusiast and got something I needed for my car. Nick
martinfan5 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) They look a little bit to big for a model Edit-UPS just dropped this off, its a F650 diecast, its going to be the tow rig for my Galaixe 44 ft gooseneck trailer Edited October 3, 2012 by martinfan5
