Nice car. Any plans for restoration and paint? How does one find a Bavaria in Eastern Wyoming? Amazing!!!

I really love the Chevy badged versions so I think I'll keep my '78 as a Chevy. Either way, finding parts for these things isn't easy nor cheap.

Here is a car version of the small truck. The Florian. http://www.isuzuownersclub.com/en/?fid=5&gal=6The truck was sold as the Isuzu P'UP (short for pick up), of course the LUV which was short for Light Utility Vehicle. Also sold as the Bedford KB in Britain and the Holden KB in Oz. It was called Faster in Asian markets. When I lived in California, I saw LUVs with Florian grilles. I think the interior of the LUV would benefit from a wood grain touch like the Florian.

Thank you for all of the information! Of course I knew about the izuzu P'up and Luv but I had no idea about the Bedford,Holden, and Faster variations. Now i'll have to go do some research on all this.

I have been away from the forum due to work and the holidays. This is my Christmas presents from my wife and kids. The Johan hearse is unbuilt and my wife bought it on her own without telling me. It was a great surprise. The tire sets and glue were bought with a Hobby Lobby gift card from my kids.

I picked up another set of Firestone tires at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and two model magazines at the LHS.

Went to my local hobby store for paint only (that's what we all say  !), but stumbled across this one along with some other 'old' kits ;)

Nice kit, sealed in the box and has an optional 6 cylinder, something different to my collection ;)

I've got the same kit Ray, Picked it up for about half of what you paid on E-bay...I got really lucky! I've found that the Revell '69 Camaro convertible's chassis and interior fit this body perfectly, making it very easy to upgrade from the old style chassis in this kit. A bit of modification to the Camaro door panels, the Firebird dash, and a few other small things and you can have a really nice build of a '69 Firebird. Mines going to be a '69 Trans-Am convertible (Only 7 were made), one I get around to it that is!

Thanks, plans are to keep it original as far as paint and interior, silver with a navy blue interior. Would like to find a later model set of alloy wheels for it. My sister's inlaws own the ranch, born and raised on it.Its actually her mother-in-laws, and she and her husband have been into them for years. They have had a 2002, two Bavarias, and three 530i's. They still have a 1977 530, a beautifully restored triumph TR4, and two 1970 MB projects. Her brother has Alpha's. Whats funny is that a neighboring rancher has three Jag E types, one of which is Ford 5.0 powered. The old guy is about 6 foot 6 and wears a 20 gallon cowboy hat. lol

A whole mess of post cards! Yes, this is the NNL East mailing that went out today. Our club members did the stamp and sticker project at our meeting yesterday.

The stock hood had a tire melt into the inside of it,thankfully I want to use the formula hood. I also just spent two hours grafting the kit nose to the front of the body, terrible terrible fit, you don't even want to know what they did to the back bumper.

It's gonna take a lot a work, so I figure if I can knock some out now I'll be better off down the road. Still debating a paint choice, white and gold or Red and black.

Scored this cheeeep on eBay; should have it by Friday:

Original issue '62 Impala convertible. SO hard to find one without all the custom parts glued to the body - plus if I can get those '57 Plymouth wheel covers off intact, they'll probably be going onto a '58 Impala.

Update - arrived safe and sound. It was mostly easy to dismantle, probably because the original builder used up most of his glue installing the windshield and taillights. This will take some photoetch saw and Dremel work, but not impossible. Off to the Awesome dip... And a bit of thumbnail prying removed the wheelcovers intact.

Minilites or Panasports would look great on the car.
