The Mrs. said with the Michael's sale we could afford to let me pick up a kit. I picked up Revell's 57 Chevy sedan kit yesterday.

..Got a nice new SENCO air rig for my spray booth. Had to go to Home Despot and grab some NPT fittings and some Teflon tape, but I'm good to go. the compressor is sewing machine- quiet, and I added a remote regulator to the bench so the little SENCO can sit on the floor outta the way.

This thing is really nice. I have three other (LOUD) compressors and a Co2 tank setup, but this is the way to go. Won't wake the Mrs. and I don't have to hunt for Co2 refills as often.

the kit is 1:9 scale, made by protar from italy, the Company is long gone, they have made lots of older competition bikes from 1930-1980,i have about 20 of them now,but they are hard to get,and expensive.

one of the hardest kit to get is the bianchi kit:

have seen this sells for 300-400$ on ebay,on this kit you need to build the wheel spoke for spoke.

it is 2 kit i realy wants from protar, kreidler 50cc and harley-davidson 250cc g-p,but have no luck to get them yet

Got this very cool 1970s Polistil 1/25 scale Mini Cooper in full rally gear! I'd been watching these for a long time and finally got one that was complete and in the box for $29.99. They don't show up all that often and are usually in the $100 range, and many of them are missing things. I do have one I got years ago as a parts car for my other Minis that looked like it was buried in a sand box for a decade...

In the beginning... there was this one Mini. I got this as a kid in Europe. This one came as a prefinished diecast kit. I wanted it in yellow so I waited, and passed up a bunch of white and red ones, until I found it. It has survived in my collection all this time. Note the white lettered tires, and the interior even has orange felt carpet. I had painted the hood with Testors lumpy black and removed the grill because that's the look I wanted back then. Today, I wouldn't change a thing!

Then once eBay came around, I found this parts car and imported it from England for a few key parts. As with most of my life, once I got it I saw it wasn't bad at all, so it got restored too.

Then I found the Holy Grail of Polystil MInidom. Again on eBay, a mint in the display pack, 1970 era Mini just like my original. I never put those stickers on mine since they looked hokey even to a 12 year old me!

And that original sandbox car? I can't help myself. It's currently being built up. Right now it's in primer. It gave up parts I needed for the other ones, like tail lights, a headlight and door handles, so it will be built as a model with parts from model kits.

So with the Mata Grosso, my Polystil Mini collection is complete! Yea right..

I found the Camaros and the Manx at a Hobby Lobby in Medina, OH while at work, and just couldn't pass up the less than $15 clearance price marked on them all.

Then yesterday, the lady at the post office was nice enough to give me these that I got in a trade with midnightprowler, Lee Rilea.

I attended the "Cincinnati Challenge 19" model car contest and swap meet today. Picked up a couple of goodies in the swap area.

Attention Tom Geiger: even in Cincinnati, I find those pesky Valiants!

OK, I said I might never do another one of these, but I caved. Picked up the old Monogram 1/32 Snap-Tite "Blue Max " Funny car kit. Love the run of real Blue Max FCs, and had to have the kit of this one. For those interested, you can see my post from my build of the Prudhomme Pepsi Challenger kit from the same run of 1/32s at the URL below. Figure I might add to what I did on the Prudhomme by working on the actual chassis itself a bit more.

I got this '65 Valiant Resin Kit a couple of days ago. It's made by a friend of mine here in Finland and is high quality. Mine will be a Street Machine with AMT '71 Duster chassis and engine...

I would really like to build the police cruiser with Chicago Police markings. Any idea if someone makes such a set?
