I've only ever painted one car in black, and what a nightmare black is to get right, it shows every little flaw in the paint ....

Some nice dark rides in here!

Good work, gang.

Jonathan ... How do you brine a model? Same as a turkey, or is it a special salt?

As I've told you before, you are your own worst critic.

I haven't painted many cars black, since it's very hard color to get right. I have few Black cars on the works now, but these three are already finished.

Matt Black '32 Ford Rat Roadster. Sectioned & Channeled, windshield frame scratchbuilt and chopped, smoothed, etc etc.

MPC SnapTite '50 Mercury. Box Stock except for the tires.

And then Arii's 1/32 Scale Prince Gloria Mild Custom. I lowered it as much as possible without huge modifications, still it's bit too high.

Nice examples here, I didn't know it was still going. I may post some of mine later, I think I have at least ten. Everyone says black is such a hard color to paint which makes it more of a challenge to me. My family has 7 black cars in the real world. We look like a bunch of agents or something when we all get together. B)
