Sport Suburban Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Here is one I built in a week for a club theme. The theme was TV and Movie cars. This is a Doyusha kit from Japan and is curbside. It comes with all the bond stuff so this is a box stock build. I used Tamia spray for the silver and automotive clear. I still have to do the figurines that cam with the kit.
GeeBee Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 That's a real nice model of a superb car ....
Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Looks nice, remembers me of the Aurora kit from the '60s.
Mike 1017 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Looks great.Congrats on a nice clean build
wagoneer Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Beautiful! I've got the Airfix standard Aston in the loft awaiting a built, now I have something to look up to.
tomsheehy Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Superb build, looks great. FYI: The car reappears in the new "Skyfall" Bond movie. But I won't go into detail and ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet.
Lunajammer Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Looks fantastic Raoul. I have the Aurora kit and it could never look that good.
W-Machine Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I feel the need for a vodka martini, served straight up with a twist, shaken not stirred.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 What a great looking 1 week build. Really sharp!
mrmike Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I have this kit and this is the first time I have seem one built up. Yours came out looking great! I now have something to reference to in the future for my build. Great job!
Sport Suburban Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks Guys. Mr Mike, The only thing I changed was the headrests. The model kit has these huge headrests that sit foward and look way too large. All the pics of the real car that I saw did not have headrests. Also the rear axle seems to sit offcenter to the wheel openings. That bothers me some but I didn't have time to fix it. It is a simple kit and most of my time was spent on the body and paint.
