Dragline Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Read some drama about valve coves a while back. Those guys are NOT building like this John. Joke em if they can't take a ....... Keep building this MUTT. To quote my least favorite company.... "I'm Loving It" Bob
crazyjim Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Just outstanding, John. I don't care if you would have put the valve covers on inside out. I'm amazed how fast everything seems to come together for you. Are you going to sand the body before you clear? What kind of clear do you normally use?
Mooneyzs Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 John... I am loving this and it's just Bitchen!! Those flames are killer and I love how you added more to them and I can't wait to see the trunk lid. Keep up the awesome work!! You are the man!
John Teresi Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) Just outstanding, John. I don't care if you would have put the valve covers on inside out. I'm amazed how fast everything seems to come together for you. Are you going to sand the body before you clear? What kind of clear do you normally use? Hi Jim.......I will scuff it down a little.......not to much with 2500.......then I will give a medium/heavy clear coat ..........Then I will sand it down really good with 1500 and then give another medium clear coat........then I will sand it down again with 2000........then give a final light/medium clear coat.........I use RM 5800 clear and RM Hardner and Rm reducer........it probably doesn`t make sense but, that`s what I will do to this build......... thanks Edited March 14, 2013 by John Teresi
vintagedragfan Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 flames turned out awesome John!! looks like you about to wrap this one up another fantastic build my friend!!
Guest Johnny Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 As my Aunt Thelma (the one that kept me supplied with Buster Brown clothes) would say about a cool car back when I was a real little kid and she would drive me around the block before she left for work, Bitchin'!!! That should be a prize winner any where!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 The flames turned out beautiful. This one is on its way to the finish line.
John Teresi Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 Hello.......thank you all very much for your kind comments.........I got a coat of clear on the body and a few mock-up photos........I will add the flames on the trunk lid and give the body a last coat of clear today........thanks for looking.

sjordan2 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Another masterpiece, of course. But where are the pictures of you, with the Hooters girls bending over the model? Put a side of slaw in the foreground. Edited March 16, 2013 by sjordan2
vintagedragfan Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 beautiful paint work John! looks as though it's about ready for the under glass section sweet brother!!
FASTBACK340 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Fantastic workmanship. John definitely has some skills. Looking forward to seeing this wrapped up.
Joker Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 First I wanna say that this model has taken "Modeling as a spectator sport" to new heights. I love clicking in on the latest installments, it just makes my day. Part of that is that you are consistently building, no long waits between reports like on my builds! Second, anyone who hasn't learned something from this thread is brain dead! The skill and imagination that's gone into creating this car is as over the top as the subject matter. I can't wait to see 'er done! Only then I'll be sad that it's come to an end... kinda like when your favorite show goes off the air! Church !
Guest Johnny Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 John, now you have my wife hooked! She will stop by and and ask "has he posted any more on that pink thing yet?"
