Hondo Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Very nice work !! Great to see a fuel altered get some respect.
tim boyd Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Super Sharp! All the details are perfect. Congrats...TIM
Brudda Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Love It! For me this was the best class in drag racing. These cars were scary fast. Man this brings back the memories. What a beautiful build.
W-409 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 This is very Cool. I like the paint on it, and engine details look sharp. Especially that text on the belt caught my eyes. Very nice and clean build.
mysterj1 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Amazing build and quite timely, I've been collection Topolino pics for the last few days in order to research and maybe build a radical AA/FA from the day. I've been trying to get any and all chassis shots I can get, I'd love to see your chassis details and learn where you got your "foundation".
JPolli Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 The body is a Competition resin body over a "Wild Willie " modified chassis with engine. Tires and wheels are Competition resin. The front axle and fuel cell are scratch built. MCW faded paint. Parachute is from Calnaga Castings. Decals were custom made. Thank you for the kind words.
Mooneyzs Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 This is a very cool Altered. Great Job on it. Its got me inspired to do my Mike Sullivan Fiat Altered in 1/16th scale I picked up from competition resins a few years ago as well as decals from Slixx. I look forward to your next project.
John Pol Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 My Latest build. Really nice job what did you use for the parrachute line? John Pol
JPolli Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 The parachute line is embroidery thread from a local fabric shop.
