Rod Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Hi This is my first attempt at posting a new topic on this forum. I just joined 2 days ago and am very impressed with the models I'm seeing by everyone. I built this Revell kit about 5 years ago. Some of the mods include "Z'ing" the frame front and rear, installing a blown Ardun flattie using the fantastic RepMinCo parts as well as their Duvall windshield and roof. Thanks for looking!
Erik Smith Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Beautiful Hot Rod, Rod! I really can't anything I don't like. The Ardun heads, SCOT blower, smooth black paint...very nice model.
zaina Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Saw this one in person and I have to say it is gorgeous.
moparfarmer Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Great pictures Rod. Looked at the pics and said to myself,"That looks familiar" .Check out the poster and its Rod. Welcome and now show lots of your stuff. Its always well done and clean....
Gluhead Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I like that it's not a clone, and it really is an excellent tribute. It draws just the right elements from the Doane roadster. Beautiful.
Draggon Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 That is a masterpiece! I love it. Dont' suppose youve done the McMullen roadster?
Bernard Kron Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Beautifully executed, a true "tribute", a blend of the 1:1 and aspects of the modern Revell donor. A very handsome traditional hot rod in the contemporary style. Congrats!
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 That's a real sweetheart ! Pretty impressive first post. Thanks for the great shots of the R&M bits as well. Beautiful work.
rmvw guy Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 This one has everything going for it. All I can say is WOW!!!
Sixties Sam Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Incredible model! That's one of the best looking 32's I've ever seen! Amazing engine details! Excellent work! Sam
58 Impala Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Wow, absolutely stunning build. Looks very much like the 1:1 original.
freakshow12 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 It looks BETTER than the 1:1 !!!! I wouldnt go that far LOL. beautiful model but I got to spend time with the 1:1 while I was in the vault of the petersen museum in LA. I have a ton of pics of the stuff stashed down in the guts of the museum. here she is

bigkenny Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Great model as usual Rod. I may be letting the cat out of the bag but "The Rolling Bones" in the Saratoga,NY area are building a Doane Spencer "tribute car". I saw the finished rolling chassis at their annual Garage Night last Saturday night. This is going to be great! I have all the makings of one of these, from the same source, RMofM,I even had a DuVal windshield plated. Can't wait to see more of your stuff!bigkenny
