Just finished this up last night, painted the base this morning. I'm calling it "Up on the Wheel", kinda like a last lap turn four theme.

This started with a Baldwin Motion body and front clip, some resin parts and some parts from the stash. Plenty of body mods and scratch building with a light touch of weathering.

Tamiya paint, swap meet ddecals and some water colors. The base is painted grey as to not detract from the car and I was trying to stay away from the diorama class. Hope you like it.

Here is a link the build, http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w184/fredjames_2007/Dirt%20Late%20Model/

That is spectacular James. I really like the look, stance and weathering of this and I also like your concept of not adding too much detail to the base. Nicely done.

Very cool build! Great looking dirt racer, but wouldn't there be a bunch of mud splatter behind those tires on the quarter panels and front fenders? Looks like the tires extend beyond the sheet metal. Still a great looking build, just needs some splatter to look even better.

Thank you guys for the kind words and comments. I had thought of the splatter, but did not want to over do it. This represents a dry track newly raced car.

But I have dirtied them up before!
