Jared Roach Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I finished this one a couple of days ago. Pretty much box stock except for the added rust holes, roof light, stock air cleaner, and modified CB antenna. I also added some chain on the front of the plow. The missing turn single didn't come out as well as I wanted but overall it was a Pretty good build and I can't wait to build another as a nice truck. I also should have weathered the chain also but it was already glued on.
martinfan5 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Nice job, it looks like its been through a lot of rough winters
Evilbenny Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Looks great. I really like the undercarriage. Great job.
freightshaker Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Looks like she had a tough life. Great build!
the goon Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Looks great. Like the underside, and the bed. Mark

Dominik Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Thats the look, how a old working machine has to be. Like it, well done!
dptydawg Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 It looks like most of the plow trucks in my neighbourhood. Excellent job of weathering. it looks quite real. Carl
Platerpants Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 must be an ohio truck ive seen worse driving in my town
rmvw guy Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I've seen at least 100 like this around here. You got it just right, now where is all the snow?
Lunajammer Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Anyone living in the snow belt has seen this truck. Spot on. Great work.
Sixties Sam Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Looks great! Very realistic. Your weathering is spot on! There are plenty of trucks like that here in central PA! Sam
Kit Basher Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Very nice! How much you want for it? I need something to do my driveway with!
Shardik Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Fantastic weathering! This thing has just got a ton of character.
robwes70 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 That is just Awesome. Good job. I have a couple of the earlier GMC pick up models and was thinking of scratch building the plow. But, after seeing your build I may have to just get the whole kit.
guybrush Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 hi jared very good work i like old workhorse... the dents on the bed look nice i dont like the kit mirror i change by my c30 the holders to a thinner one regards maik
Chuck Most Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Looks perfect from here- many of the remaining late '70's GM trucks in Michigan look pretty much like that, plow-equipped or no.
thorpedo66 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Great job on this one, it's spot on! Being from Northern Wisconsin and in the poorest county in WI and driving a snowplow myself have seen this truck many times!
Jared Roach Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Hey thanks everyone. It's was my first time actually weathering something like this and it was fun. It did help though there was a very similar truck at my work with the same plow setup and rust holes haha.
