Porscheman Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Beautiful!! Love the old Ford pickup. What year is it?
jrherald420 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Do i see a paper with the late Carroll Shelby's signature on it? What does it say?
Sixties Sam Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Is that what you would call a bundle of snakes? Very nice Cobras and trucks. I like the old Ford pickup, too! Great work on all of them! Sam
cobraman Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 It's ok. I kind of like it. Oh who the heck am I kidding I love it ! Very nice.
Steve Prideaux Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) Thank you all for the kind comments. The truck is a resin copy of the AMT 63 ford unibody. The Cobra, on the little trailer is an original issue, I found in my parents attic, I had many many years ago. The letter is a copy of the sale of the #1 Cobra Daytona coupe, for the price of, $5100.00 dollars, in 1969. The other paper, is a list of "used race cars" for sale, in January of 1966 by Shelby American. I believe they had to discount many of them to sell them. These were found in the book, Cobra Ferrari Wars. Thank you all for the kind words. Steve Prideaux Edited March 9, 2013 by Steve Prideaux
Evilbenny Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Those are some great looking models. Could you please post some more eye candy for us?
afx Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Steve, awesome build!! I am very interested in the red Cobra. The wheel well arches do not look like standard AMT-are they? Where did the Halibrand wheels and tires on this car come from?
Custom Hearse Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Nice builds! You did an excellent job on all of them.
Steve Prideaux Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Thanks for the comments. JC. The rear wheel flares, are from the Monogram/Revell BF Goodrich Corvette. The wheels are from the front of the Willy Borsch Fuel altered. The wheels, are available from Slixx under Competition Resin-wheels, for $1.00 per pair.I am not sure what kit the tires came from. thanks for your interest. Steve Prideaux Thanks for the comments.
