1975 AMC Matador

I finished this one last year, after having let it sit half done in the box for a good couple of years. I intended to replicate the real one I owned, but decided at some point to paint this one metallic black, instead of orange like my old 1:1. Everything else is as my real car was, from the b & w interior, to the 360 2V single exhaust under the hood, and the Cragar SS rims and fat tires. This has to be one of the worst fitting AMT kits I've ever built!

I like it Darcy. Don't see too many of these posted anywhere. I have both unbuilt 75 and 77 versions of these. What kind of problems am I going to experience building them? Care to elaborate? You can never tell about AMT kits during this time period. Fury3

I remember building this kit as a youth and I don't remember it being that bad. Maybe it was just a Monday morning kit (or, the one I had was a Wednesday afternoon kit)

Truth be told , I never ever saw this kit ever released as a stock car. I saw a NASCAR version . As everyone else has said , I think you managed a great build out of it .
