Porscheman Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 This is a Missing Link resin kit. I painted it Inca Gold and use a vinyl top kit. The wheels are from a Rivera kit and the tires are Round 2. I think the color is to bright for a 68, but it really makes the model stand out. Great kit!!!Hope you enjoy it.Al

Rob Hall Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Sharp build..I have this kit in my to-build stash, thinking Wimbeldon white or that silver blue that popular w/ Ford and Mercury then...I got a set of Modelhaus whitewalls and '70 LTD wheelcovers for mine..
Ron Hamilton Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I have one of these kits in my stash waiting to be built. My uncle had a '67 LTD 4 Door Hardtop. Yellow with a black vinyl roof and interior, with every option from the factory on it. My dad had a '68 Country Sedan, Black with a red Interior, with the finned wheel covers. It passed everything but the gas station. When I build mine, I may build my '68 XL GT Fastback as a bookend to it, in the same factory colors. Seeing yours brings back memories.
Eshaver Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Definitely one of a kind considerin ...................................
cortinanut Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 So nice! Great color choice, too--might not have been popular on dealer lots, but it makes a great looking model.
Erik Smith Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) That turned out great. Very nice looking model. Are the wheels from a Riviera kit or AMT '69 Galaxie? Maybe they are the same or similar...I'll have to look at the '69 i guess... Edited May 24, 2013 by Erik Smith
W-Machine Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Al, your LTD came out real nice! That color with the black vinyl top made for a nice, factory-stock look.
Mopar - D Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Very nice looking LTD. Were there any fit issues in building the kit.
realgone58 Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Very nice looking build! This one is on my "want list". Love the 4 doors and wagons.
Porscheman Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Very nice looking LTD. Were there any fit issues in building the kit.Thank you everyone for the nice commits. This was a pretty straight forward build. The only fit problems I had were the fit of the grill to to the right front fender. I little grinding to get to fit right and also right bumber to get the tail light to fit properly. Otherwise a very well done kit.
Tom Geiger Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Very nice build Al! Hope to see it in person in the near future! I do need to get one of these!
BubbaJoe Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 my dad had a 67 forest green w/vinyl top...i remember waxing it every Sat. w/him.he loved that car...thanks for the memories...very nice build!!
