Here's a quick update before starting the body work I put some primer on it to better highlight all the bad spots. I also thought it would be neat to put it up along side a completely stock GTX I got off eBay a few weeks ago it looked really good and the price was right. Anyway I though it would be neat to put them side by side, stock and then mine to compare the changes.

The dash board you see in mine is a mock up made out of cardboard. The truck lid is sitting on tape right now, I'll have to add some interior pieces before I can actually mount the truck lid. But I think I've said that before lol.

The next time the body will be seen is after the body work is done.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks you guys! Here's another update on the GTX. The body work is proving to be a lot of work so nothing on it for now. Most of the trunk bay is done, I made the dashboard and am also trying to make my own seats.

Alright time for another update, I finally got the body work done, as near as I can tell at least, it was a tough battle but I think I won lol. It's now got it's base coat, silver, I've decided on colors which I will leave as a mystery for now. But if that fails (a high probability with me around) I'll just re-spray the same color it is now, either that or primer grey with a flat black hood. Anyway here's some pictures.

Alright some good news and some bad news. Good news is I got the first color on the car. Bad news is the doors and body ended up being different shades of red. It may not be really noticeable in the pictures but it's pretty bad in person. If that wasn't enough I dropped it while examining it. I had a pretty good grip on it but my hand just suddenly opened which is actually the same way I lost a 69 Daytona that I had almost finished. It was only needing two parts to be done. That happened this past May, it's damage was the noise and wing broke off, when the wing went it tore the Daytona decal along with it and it was left with a huge scare that went through the paint and into the body. Anyway the damage to this one wasn't quite as bad the driver side window post ended up breaking. In any case the paint is duplicolor Inferno Red which was a Chrysler color the paint itself ended up having a sandpaper like texture so it will need lots of polishing. Here's some pictures.

After a few re-sprays and a whole lot of sanding and polishing I finally got the paint done. I also got the custom seats finished up and started work on the roll cage.

And here's the finished paint job. 2 weeks of worth of sanding a polishing really paid off I think. It's not perfect though, there is a small crack on the passenger side roof that didn't show up until after painting. A little bit of a bummer but I'm still happy with it, I can't redo it anyway I'm out of paint. The colors are Dulplicolor Inferno Red and Basic Black.

With this being named Sinister's Snake I thought it would be neat to put the Viper emblem on the hood.

And here's the back end with the light bar.

And last but not least the engine with custom exhaust manifolds.

I'll see about finishing up the interior next. Thanks for looking, comments and criticism always welcome.

Thanks for the kind words Ken.

Wow it's been a month since I last updated this, I've been slacking lol. The roll cage is colored and ready for install and I've made a few pieces for the interior.

Post162_zpsb4e71020.jpg

I wanted the car to have a sort of brushed aluminum interior but I didn't want to just paint all the parts silver. That just seemed a little to simple. So while at Harbor Freight a few weeks ago I was wandering around (mindlessly like the fool I am) when I glanced down at one of the shelves and noticed something catch my eye. It was heating and air tape with a really nice blushed aluminum look. I thought to myself that should work nicely so I bought it and after a little trial and error (It's really finicky, easy to damage and really sticky) but I got it under control and started covering some pieces in it.

Those window cranks were a real pain in the rear to get out of the original door panels.

Post164_zpsaca09879.jpg

I'll be making a mat to lay over top the dash board so it doesn't become a problem driving into the sunset. lol

Well I'm going to get into high gear now, it needs to be finished in a month in a half. My how time has just slipped by.

Opinions, criticism, it's all welcome and appreciated, thanks for looking.
