Sportabout Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Dodge has not made pickups based on passenger cars so I decided to create one. I had a junk Revell Coronet R/T body and some its parts. Here I started: After some cutting, filling, sanding gluing and painting pickup was born Engine is slant six with turbo. Chassis has been modified from stock and get brake and fuel lines. It was fun to make although it took 6 months to finnish.
PappyD340 Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Neat project Kari, you did a great job on it, I like it, very KOOOOL!
Harry P. Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Nice! My only comment would be that I would have put the rear glass at a more vertical angle.
Eshaver Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Looking at that build , it certainly looks like Chrysler missed a financial opportunity to have built a Ram truck!
Sixties Sam Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) That is really creative! The slant 6 turbo was a surprise - I expected to see a 383 or 426 hemi! Great work on this model! Sam Edited August 10, 2013 by Sixties Sam

1972coronet Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Kari , that is one of the nicest projects I have seen in some time ! Its wood-floor is gorgeous ! That oxidiser-infused 225 Slant Six was truly a surprise ; a welcomed surprise at that ! Excellent work !
Sportabout Posted August 10, 2013 Author Posted August 10, 2013 Thanks gyus. I really like to built 6 cylinder engines. My current project modelhaus Dodge D200 crew cab has also slant six with modified L700 chassis.
Renegade Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Mopar missed the boat on this one. Would have given the Ranchero and El Camino a run for their money. Great idea and build.
