Thanks, Bob. I was trying to make the side pods but they came out too flat. Next time I'll try another method to get a bulge in them. I have a set of big paddle tires that I need to use on one these too.

Thanks, Al. The intake manifolds and Weber carbs came from the parts box and the air filters are items I cast for Crazy Scale Auto Parts. The taillights are from the '66 Mustang kit. I casted them too so I'd lights for the Mustang when I build it.

Well done Jim. Nice colour, finish and engine and rims. I can see what you were trying on the sides. I tried thin plasticard to try and make the side pods. That didn't work either.

This would be the perfect model to use some of that out-of-scale "bass boat" metalflake paint.

You're probably right, Harry, but I don't have any of that stuff. Besides that, dune buggies are so old now that not many of the original gel coats are around so most buggies need to be repainted.

Jim, that looks great! Love the Mustang tail lights on there and your license plate is a nice touch. Engine looks good. I didn't have the patience to wire mine! But I did use the big out of scale bass boat flake however.

JIm, why don't you shape the side pods from a block of wood or Super Sculpy and cast 'em in resin. I'm sure that there are others who would like to have a set.

Well Don, I'm not a wood carver and I have never used Super Sculpy. I sure would like to pop some in resin though.

I've got a buggy here.....I'll mock a set up in clay, you can tweak and cast 'em. I'll bring them to our next meeting along with the 1/12th FLH 1200 engine parts I mentioned.
