crazyjim Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 This puppy should have been done weeks ago but I had to repaint the hood a couple of times. It's finished in HOK pagan gold. I stripped the plating on the original bumpers and just kinda molded them in. The original grill was ground out and replaced with some mesh I had. Gotta tell you about the taillight lenses because nobody would ever guess in a million years where they originated. They're the little chip things people use to cover the numbers when they play bingo.
Ramfins59 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Hey Jim, you're on a roll. Great looking Bird. Very creative with the taillights.
crazyjim Posted August 23, 2013 Author Posted August 23, 2013 Thanks guys. I saw those chips at the local VFnW, Rich, and grabbed a handful.
Sixties Sam Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Cool Bird! I like how you did the grille and bumper. I think I would have painted the chassis black, though. Nice work! Sam
Chris White Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Jim, I just hurt my jaw on the table, great details
realgone58 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Nice kustom Jim! Somewhere there's a bunch of folks sitting around using dimes to cover the numbers on their bingo cards!
crazyjim Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Thanks, Al. They might be using dimes but I have a supply of taillight blanks. LOL
