peekay Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) I've posted this in someone else's thread but I'm big-headed enough to want to show it on its own.Finished last year, box stock except for some wire and Satco tyres. Paint is Zero base with Tamiya clear and scripts were all done with the "Foil Before Paint" method. Please excuse the dust in the engine bay. Hosted on Fotki Edited August 9, 2017 by peekay 1 1
PappyD340 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I must say Peter your eyes are alot better than mine, cause I see no dust, but I am not going to dispute your word by no means anyway looks FANTASTIC to me,great job!!!
Eshaver Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Fine job young man, keep up the GOOD work !
Harry P. Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Holy carp! That is absolutely freakin' beautiful!
Ramfins59 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 That is a beautiful model Peter. Great job in the engine compartment.
Harry P. Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 The last thing I'd expect to see from a New Zealander living in Switzerland is an Arkansas Razorbacks license plate!
ToyLvr Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Love it! I just started one here recently, and chose the same basic color, I think GM called it "Corona Cream" or something like that. Now I'm inspired to complete mine....
Rob Hall Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Wow..that is a sweet build...very clean. Like the color choices.
Ford guy Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Awesome! Really a good looking build Peter. You did fantastic with the scripts.
peekay Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Thanks so much for your comments, approval on this forum means a lot to me.Lee, there is no PE here, scripts and badges are all done with BMF before paint.Harry, the plates are from a set of photographed items bought several years ago and, to be honest, I didn't know till now what RZRBK stood for! Other examples I've used from the set are RUGRUV and EZ2PLEZ.Mike, yes Corona Cream was what I was aiming for and I think I'm not way off. The interior should represent "Fawn Beige" (which was your only choice for a Corona Cream BelAir in 62) but I may have been less successful there. I'll try and put an interior shotup today.
ToyLvr Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Peter: Can you post some interior photos? I painted mine using Model Master "Light Ivory", which is perhaps a tad lighter shade, but close enough for what I wanted. I was thinking about shaving off the scripts and stuffing a 6-cylinder in mine, but the lure of the 409 is too much......
Guest Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Super nice looking Bel Air Peter! Great looking work!
David G. Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Top notch work! I love all the detail. David G.
ChevyCoupe41 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Beautiful Bel Air! Color is perfect and love all of those details on engine. Very Nice Job!
