peekay Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Another over 20 year old build, curbside with Sikkens automotive base/clear coats, Satco tyres and poseable steering. Beauty rings were an aftermarket purchase, I think from Dad's Models(?) Windows are acetate but I wish I'd done something about the rather thick frames. Guest Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 That's one of the nicest '51 Chevies I've seen yet! Sure doesn't look like a twenty year old build! I really like the color combo you did on it also. Great looking work all around!
cobraman Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I agree, does not look like a 20 year old build. Looks like a fresh build to me.
slusher Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 20 year old build looks just built. One of the best looking 51 chevys l have seen. Perfect color and build...
W-409 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very nice '51 Chevy. Another one of those incredible, old builds that look like brand new. Nice work on it, smooth paint and excellent BMF work. I really like this one, makes me continuing my '51 Convertible.
Harry P. Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I agree with the guys... nice color choices!
Casey Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I believe the word impeccable applies here. Very nice work, Peter.
Harry P. Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Looks like you are scribing your panel lines deeper. Correct? It looks good.
charlie8575 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very pretty car, Peter. Up to your usual standards of well-done. A question for you: how do you keep your models in such nice condition? Charlie Larkin
Ramfins59 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 What everyone else said Peter. Kudos on another fine model. How many more do you have lined up to show us..??
bbowser Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very nice, I agree with all of the above!
The70judgeman Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great color choices for an early 50's car. Very similar colors for my Olds...if I ever get around to building it!
