My friggin bank. They send me a new Visa debit card, telling me my card "may have been compromised" and my old card is void immediately and I need to register this one right away.

So now I need to figure out how many accounts of mine depend on this card so I can change them all!

My most recent McD story... when I'm hungry and I want to eat something cheap and quick, I get a couple of those $1 chicken sandwiches. Sunday I was on the wrong side of the highway and there was a Wendys. So I got two of their $1 chicken sandwiches.... much, much better than McDonalds. Where were these all my life!?!

Ah Grasshopper...you have just taken your first step into a far, far larger world than you ever dreamed existed...chinese-emoticon-th.png

Or, "Why did the Tom cross the road? To get to the chicken on the other side".

I have a question to everyone suffering from the annoying peep in the head.

What do you do when trying to sleep or when it's quiet, how do you try to live with it?

It's slowly getting me down and sleeping with radio on won't help my much needed nightrest.

I have a visit to the doctor planned on 15th of april. Way to long. :(

White noise machine ???

White noise machine ???

Or move really close to the interstate and sleep with the windows open.

Seriously, I know it sucks. That's why I joke about it. It's been a part of me so long I don't notice it much, very often, unless I think about it.

The white-noise machine is a good suggestion though. A friend gave me one that does surf, rain, and a bunch of others. Quite realistic.

The year started off with me having some health issues again. As I loose weight and age it's raising hell with my medications. I get in shape and feel sick. Go figure….

My Wife's Mom is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, and lately has been having issues with her eyes and one of her legs. Multiple doctors visits a week.

And two weeks ago my Wife lost her Father. He was ill and finally succumbed. She just got back from Arizona yesterday.

The up-side is I'm looking forward to working a full week this week for the first time this year……..

Me build a model? I barely have time to look at yours….

I take a low dose sleeping pill and have no problems. I did get off the sleeping pills for awhile, and then my tinnitus really "kicked up" and I had to go back on them.

I've had to take prescription sleeping pills for 20 years for my insomnia.. I've traveled before and forgotten to pack them and was miserable. I can use Tylenol PM or Alieve PM in a pinch, but they aren't as affective as 500mg of the heavy stuff...I crave good sleep, it ruins my day if don't get at least 7 hours uninterrupted (which is hard to get).

So I decided to crank out some programming on the Dino 200.

Dusted it off and went out to the living room with it.

Started it and was greeted with a screen full of black pixels. Batteries?

Pulled em and replaced em. Same thing. Finally, I got it to turn on.

All of my programs were gone, gone forever. Well, I only spent 7 hours on one of them debugging...

So I pulled it apart, took off the screen, cleaned a few connections around the internal clock battery. Seems to be working fine. Just plunked in a simple piano prog for a test and it works disco.

Time will tell.

My most recent McD story... I do like their bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich and coffee once in a while. One morning last week, I was going through the drive through at 6am..two young women were at the drive through window, one taking orders and one making coffee..they bumped into each other and started fighting--screaming obsenities at each other and pulling hair...like something from the Jerry Springer show. The shift manager broke it up and got me my sandwich and coffee....

Dinner and a show! :D

I have to take meds to be able to sleep or it wont happen....pain,nerve damage keeps me awake no matter how long its been since I have slept.

I'm darned lucky not to have any hearing issues. I've played the drums for eons, wearing headphones while the receiver was cranked up all the time.

I've got tinnitus too. Too many years of listening to music at paint pealing levels. Being in a band didn't help. And neither do all the shop-air leaks where I work.

I used to sleep with a fan to drown it out, but about a year ago, the fan started keeping me awake. Not sure why. I slept with a fan for about 30 years and now all of the sudden it keeps me awake?

Same has happened to me, more than once. It's a hassle to reconfigure all your on-line accounts... but it's better than having the bad guys run up huge tabs on your card. I'm glad my bank is vigilant in that regard.
