1934 Duesenberg Phaeton

The body for this one was painted nearly 30 years ago by a professional car painter where I worked at the time. He showed my how to airbrush automotive base/clearcoats onto a model. I never got this good though! This is really exceptional, never been polished but flawless. Also, the metallic paint is very fine, the metal particles seem in scale, which is rare.

I did the interior with Humbrol but for some reason didn't paint the engine green.

Wow! I like to think how cool it would have been to be a part of building such grand vehicles from those days. It just amazes me that someone designed such beauty and then brought them to market. Very nice build.

You NEED to stop hiding all your stuff, Peter! This is just great, black engine or not, that's one of the nicest Duesenburgs I've seen built. Someday, I'll have the courage enough to get back to all of my Monogram Classics and get them built.

Another beauty, Peter!

My son and I went to a local auto museum earlier this summer, and they had several vintage Duesenbergs on display. These cars are so impressive in real life. They are huge! The headlights are the size of pizzas!
