curt raitz Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Nice change of pace and tired of red Ferraris... Revell Kit #4912 and paint from Scalefinishes Lamborgini 0077 Verde Ithaca Mica on the body and Mercedes 0054 Monza Grey on the roof lowered suspension 1/16th of an inch, cuz these Revell Ferraris always seem to sit a bit too high. thanx for lookin'...
Erik Smith Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Cool...and nice paint. Is that legal, though?
slusher Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Very sharp build and awsume color choices...
curt raitz Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 Cool...and nice paint. Is that legal, though? in the world of model cars...everything is legal, right?
PatW Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Well done curt it looks fantastic. I always think Ferrari's are boring when they are all (Ferrari) Red! Thanks for sharing super colour.
cobraman Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I wouldn't think it would look good in that color but it does. Nice work !
Silver Foxx Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Great build , nice colour choice , every time a new Ferrari kit is released red paint becomes hard to find .
Jon Cole Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Nice! Like the fact that you lowered for proper ride height. Makes all the difference in the world.
CJ1971 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Really nice 458 Curt...! I have this colour & it's so nice... Who cares which hi-Po Italian it goes on ;-) Only 1 thing I see that you missed... The headlight buckets should be a dark grey ;-) Cheers Cliff
geetee66 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Glad you fixed the ride height. It's a shame Revell don't seem to bother about this during their research and production. I like the non standard colour choice. It's refreshing to see. Very clean build

I've seen both the dark grey and chrome finish on the headlight buckets...was gonna do the dark grey on this car (to stay with the color scheme) but forgot and glued the glass down. used canopy glue, so I can always lift the glass off and repaint
chachie Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) This is an actual color Id see often where we use to live. Wealthy Arabs live for some time of the year where we use to live ( corona del mar). I have seen this green exactly, and....behind the green one, was a pink one...his and hers. Ill add this for fun...same couple had his and her new Bugatti's... black, and baby blue... lol I like your model, cause I have seen it with my own eyes! Hmmm are you him? lol Edited September 22, 2013 by chachie
Helix Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Now that is different, a green Ferrari, looks cool Curt!

kevjoh Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) The Lamborghini Verde Ithaca Mica on the body really sets the scene, looks great. Any tips on how you lowered the suspension, have noticed that all the Revell Ferrari's seem to have the body's set to high. Edited September 24, 2013 by kevjoh
martinfan5 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Nice Any tips on how you lowered the suspension, have noticed that all the Revell Ferrari's seem to have the body's set to high. What I have done on Revell Ferrari kits is either cut off the mounting pin and move it up, or just remove it all together and just glue the wheels higher up on the spindle
