James2 Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Thank you guys, and it is great to hear from you John. Glad your posting here. Did you do an intro?
John Gorday Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Yes. Sorta feeling my way around this forum format. Thanks.
Robberbaron Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Shaping up to be one slick Buford there! Amazing what great lines these cars had from the factory. This is some of the cleanest body work I've seen - can't wait to see the finished product.
charlie8575 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Hmmm...I may try Al-Clad for Kitty I's brightwork. I didn't think it would work that well on big pieces like that. Charlie Larkin
James2 Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Thanks guys, I hope to get this one painted soon.
72 Charger Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I cant wait to see what you come up with for this beauty

James2 Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Warm weather = Painting... Very subtle color changes, can't wait to see it in the sun light!
Ray_Ray Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Great color choice! Looks awesome over those long body lines.
Jeremy Jon Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Far out paint work, Awesome, looking forward to seeing more!
James2 Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Is that kind of kandy orange topcoat? Clear Orange from Tamiya
Skip Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 When I first saw your raw material my minds eye saw replacing the top with a '59 El Camino roof and bed with a matching Triumph Bobber in the bed. Must be looking at too many Weesner prints. With that said, I like the direction you took with it, silk purse out of a sow's ear so to speak. Some of those "Barges" from the late 50's early 60's really respond well to some mild trim changes and cleaning up. The paint is reminiscent of the "Jade Idol" in Gold, hey maybe "Gold Finger"!! (Ha, Ha!). Those wheels and white walls fit right in with your clean up theme.
