This is the first model I've built in almost two years. I wanted to build something simple, and they don't get much simpler than this.

AMT 40 Ford sedan, built as a 39,just to be different. I added another exhaust pipe, and modified the headers a little.Interior is pretty basic, just added flocking on the floor. The paint is Tamiya coral blue.

It's no contest model like a lot of other members put on here, but it was something to get me started building again. Hope you like it.

Thanks guys! Like I said, the paint is Tamiya. straight from the spray can. No polish or wet sanding. Love it!

As for the background,it's not really a diorama, but just a backdrop. I have a couple of them I use instead of just a plain background. Here's the whole thing. Its painted on illustration board.

Thanks Charlie.

Yes I did paint that. It's another hobby of mine. I got the idea from one of the 'other' car model magazines. They used plaster to make it 3-D. I thought-I could do that with paint!

Wow. Very, very nicely done.

I was born in 52,so I remember stores that had the outside walls painted with advertising like that.

You don't see that anymore. :( Too bad..
