crazyjim Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 A guy was checking out my models at the Ocala Pumpkin Run and then asked if I would build a model of his car. Turned out that he had this And this is what I did. I hope he likes it. He's on his way to pick it up.
Apriliadan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I hope he does too, I really like it, very nice.
crazyjim Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Thanks Dan. The guy was just here and he loved it. Now he's looking to possibly purchase a '65 TBird and he wants me to build a model of it.
Ramfins59 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Great job on that Poncho Jim. Did you at least make some $$ on that project..??
crazyjim Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Thanks Bob & Rich. Actually I did, Rich, as long as we don't count the time I put in it.
o-man Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I would have been very surprised if he didn't like it! looks great!
realgone58 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Very nice Jim. I'm sure the guy is very happy. That's different for you to do a replica stock!
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Thanks Al. You're right - I usually don't build stock.
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Thanks Chris. I'm trying with a '32 Chrysler, '66 442, and a Pacer X. Models might be taking a backseat because today the baja bug I bought finally arrived.
satterwhite78 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 If by chance that fella doesn't make it to your house to claim his "vehicle in question", just shoot me a PM. There's plenty of room on my shelf for that Poncho! Swell lookin build!
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Thanks Chuck - the owner paid & picked up yesterday.
satterwhite78 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 LOL....Just my luck! A day late and a dollar ( with adjusted inflation $1.50) short. Betcha He was a happy camper!
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 He certainly was. Even gave me an extra $40 over what I was asking for materials used.
charlie8575 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 You...built....stock?!? You should do it more often, Jim, that came out very nicely. Charlie Larkin
ToyLvr Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Looks good, Jim. Did you get a lot of access to his Poncho to take pix, etc.?
