Just finished this 1957 Ford Fairlane.

I have lot's of Fairlane kits, but this one was incomplete, the driver door was busted in three parts, and the body had a tire burn on the trunk.

To save the kit, I built it as a 1950s road racer chevrolet behind kicker :D

The engine is the stock 312 Y-Block hopped up with a Paxton supercharger, and headers. The engine was also wired.

Inside, the stock bench seats were deleted in favor of two little bucket seats and a cardboard cover to seal the trunk opening from inside the car. Also installed a roll cage, and a floor shifter.

The build took me four days start to finish. paint used is Tamiya TS-15 on the body, and a mix of Revell, Humbrol and Testors for the rest.

Hope you guys like it.

Thanks guys!!

I'm very partial to '57 Fords.

My first model kit ever was a AMT '57 Ford.

My favorite 1950s cars is the 1957 Ford.

My second favorite engine ever (second only to the Flathead) is the Y-Block V8.

Well, you got it...

Probably I should take a picture of the 5 '57 Fords I have built all together.

Really nice build with an excellent paint job. So Smooth and Shiny! Great details in the engine bay as well. Nice build, and yes, we'd like to see pictures about all of your '57 Fords together...

...But now back to my '57 Ford Police Car project... :D

Thanks my friends, loved your feedback.

I just didn't take some pictures of all Fords together because it was raining today. I'll take pictures as soon as possible, and post them on a new post.

When it's done, let's see if the cops can get the guy road racing the blue '57 Ford :D:D

Bullitt car chase scene beware!!!!

it's a beaut model, althought i would have deleted the trim and badges.

You know, I gave a thought about that, but on some period pictures I saw, the vast majority of cars had trim and badges, even the ones road racing or moonshine hauling.
