cobraman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oh no Tom ? You forgot to put up your windows !!
madhorseman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oh No!! I hope that isn't a leather interior.
Harry P. Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Oh No!! I hope that isn't a leather interior. I don't think Valiants were available with a leather interior...
madhorseman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I don't think Valiants were available with a leather interior... No doubt Harry, but Tom could have had it custom stitched???
Tom Geiger Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Don't worry guys, it's a plastic interior! Actually I took these photos back in 2006 and recently found them. So I've been saving them for a rainy... snowy day!

High octane Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hang in there guys, 'bout another 10 more weeks and the weather should be lookin' better and on the upswing. Yeah!
Tom Geiger Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Finally got to fire up the new snow blower! Put gas in it and hit the electric starter. Great fun.. That's me out there in the Tundra, about half way down the sidewalk. My wife took a few photos from the warmth and safety of the house. I have about the same distance result as the time I asked her to take pictures of me hand feeding iguanas in St Thomas! It was fun, in fact I plowed the sidewalk the length of the street. Kinda payback since someone else did the same the last storm.
Agent G Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Our illustrious governor declared a state of emergency due to, get this, drought conditions. Uh gov, the southern half of the state is in the Mojave Desert.................................... Besides which, the rainy season is next month. Oh BTW, 68 here today. G
martinfan5 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) A bit of cold front has moved into the valley, it was in the mid 70's today, and its going to be in low 80's next week, brrrrrr Edited January 23, 2014 by martinfan5
Craig Irwin Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It's 12 here, going to -2, where's my tanning oil? According to the forecast this is about as good as it gets until after the first of February.
Tom Geiger Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Right now it's 8 degrees here. Exton PA, right now! Live photo just for you Harry.
Tom Geiger Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Pool temp? That's my pool control panel that's in my kitchen.
Joe Handley Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hang in there guys, 'bout another 10 more weeks and the weather should be lookin' better and on the upswing. Yeah! Can't wait, my Jeep is getting expensive to feed, haven't even seen 14mpg out of it yet this winter! At least gas has been "cheap".........and holding at mid $3's around here...........
High octane Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 On the downside, my wife and I don't have any winter/spring vacation planned for this year. Summer vacation this time. Oh well, life IS good!
mikemodeler Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hang in there guys, 'bout another 10 more weeks and the weather should be lookin' better and on the upswing. Yeah! Yep, and then they can start talking about how this is the Cubs year.......until June when they are eliminated from contention again!
madhorseman Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Minus 3 degrees!! For the next 10 days. At least the weather is always HOT when Dylan Dryer is delivering it! Edited January 25, 2014 by madhorseman
Harry P. Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 That's my pool control panel that's in my kitchen. So what is it measuring? The air temp? Obviously not water temp...
Tom Geiger Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 So what is it measuring? The air temp? Obviously not water temp... I believe the temperature sensor is on the pump inlet. So yes, that pipe is drained and it's probably the air temp, although it's always different than the air temperature reading which flashes right before it. For instance right now it says the air is 25 and the pool temp is 22.
Harry P. Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 For instance right now it says the air is 25 and the pool temp is 22. Close enough. So when the pool temp sensor tells you it's 4... it's a safe bet to assume it's cold outside!
cobraman Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 That's my pool control panel that's in my kitchen. That's not a pool, it's a skating rink ! : )
Pete J. Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Just finished up shoveling and boy am I tired! I still up to my kester in this stuff. Ok, so much for the joke. If we don't get some rain in the next 8 days this will go down as the first January in history without rain. If this continues we are in for a really bad fire season and we will be shoveling ashes again and that is far worse that shoveling snow.
