Don't worry guys, it's a plastic interior! Actually I took these photos back in 2006 and recently found them. So I've been saving them for a rainy... snowy day!

There's not much of a shortage of those this winter.

Finally got to fire up the new snow blower! Put gas in it and hit the electric starter. Great fun.. That's me out there in the Tundra, about half way down the sidewalk. My wife took a few photos from the warmth and safety of the house. I have about the same distance result as the time I asked her to take pictures of me hand feeding iguanas in St Thomas!

It was fun, in fact I plowed the sidewalk the length of the street. Kinda payback since someone else did the same the last storm.

Our illustrious governor declared a state of emergency due to, get this, drought conditions.

Uh gov, the southern half of the state is in the Mojave Desert....................................

Besides which, the rainy season is next month.

Oh BTW, 68 here today.

Hang in there guys, 'bout another 10 more weeks and the weather should be lookin' better and on the upswing. Yeah!

Can't wait, my Jeep is getting expensive to feed, haven't even seen 14mpg out of it yet this winter! At least gas has been "cheap".........and holding at mid $3's around here...........

So what is it measuring? The air temp? Obviously not water temp...

I believe the temperature sensor is on the pump inlet. So yes, that pipe is drained and it's probably the air temp, although it's always different than the air temperature reading which flashes right before it. For instance right now it says the air is 25 and the pool temp is 22.

Close enough. :D

So when the pool temp sensor tells you it's 4... it's a safe bet to assume it's cold outside!

Ok, so much for the joke. If we don't get some rain in the next 8 days this will go down as the first January in history without rain. If this continues we are in for a really bad fire season and we will be shoveling ashes again and that is far worse that shoveling snow.
