Joe Handley Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 One of our heaters at work decided to quit..........oh joy.
Agent G Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Today it was in the 40s here near Philadelphia. As I got home, all the snow was melting and the roads and sidewalks were all wet. Tonight it's going back to the low teens. Figure it will be amateur night at the ice rink! Oh how I hated that. Nice and sunny with just a hint of warming up, then the sun goes down. Ice coated everything. G Edited January 27, 2014 by Agent G
cobraman Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Well this winter has been good for at least one thing. My sister who is still in Chicago ( actually a small town called Justice ) had decided to throw in the towel. Fed up with winters like this and is getting too old to fight it. She plans on moving out here to Arizona next year and yes she does know about the heat. : )
Harry P. Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 So far today it hasn't gotten above zero.
High octane Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I was outside for 5 minutes today and that was long enough. I had to retrieve the garbage/recycle bins, the morning newspaper, and the mail. Gonna stay inside tomorrow too and hopefully finish my painting.

One of our heaters at work decided to quit..........oh joy. Joe, I hope You got Your heater back going? And that it's not too costly. Good luck. Edited January 28, 2014 by madhorseman

Dr. Cranky Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 LOL, when you are done shoveling, Harry, feel free to come over and get the crumbs off the Lab-RAT-ory. We got a little bit of it here in North Florida last night and we don't know what to do with it.
High octane Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Move to "Chicagoland" Virgil and you'll soon find out what to do with it.
Rob Hall Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I've lived in the Midwest, the Florida Keys, Colorado, and now Arizona. All very different climates. My next move will probably be to a very different climate (considering 3 coastal areas), I hope my time in AZ hasn't completely warped my sense of hot and cold..

Nick, my battery is about 5 years old, and I didn't realize it was that old until I was removing it to charge...I went ahead and tried to charge it...then got real and just replaced it.
