Today it was in the 40s here near Philadelphia. As I got home, all the snow was melting and the roads and sidewalks were all wet. Tonight it's going back to the low teens. Figure it will be amateur night at the ice rink!

Oh how I hated that. Nice and sunny with just a hint of warming up, then the sun goes down. Ice coated everything.

Well this winter has been good for at least one thing. My sister who is still in Chicago ( actually a small town called Justice ) had decided to throw in the towel. Fed up with winters like this and is getting too old to fight it. She plans on moving out here to Arizona next year and yes she does know about the heat. : )

I was outside for 5 minutes today and that was long enough. I had to retrieve the garbage/recycle bins, the morning newspaper, and the mail. Gonna stay inside tomorrow too and hopefully finish my painting.

I took the day off on Monday for my BD..then decided to take today off as well. Big mistake!! I didn't start and run my car yesterday, and now I'm paying for it...having to charge the battery.

One of our heaters at work decided to quit..........oh joy.

Joe, I hope You got Your heater back going? And that it's not too costly. Good luck.

When I woke up this morning and looked at Accuweather on my phone and saw it was -12, I forwarded the link to a friend in Michigan via text with the phrase "this is B...s.....", then it was up to -10 when I left at 9:20am, but it was +4º when I got home at 4pm!

Roy,

How old is your car battery? My car's been sittin' outside for the past two days and it started right up. I usually replace the battery every 5-6 years whether it needs it or not. I don't need battery problems.

LOL, when you are done shoveling, Harry, feel free to come over and get the crumbs off the Lab-RAT-ory. We got a little bit of it here in North Florida last night and we don't know what to do with it.

I've lived in the Midwest, the Florida Keys, Colorado, and now Arizona. All very different climates. My next move will probably be to a very different climate (considering 3 coastal areas), I hope my time in AZ hasn't completely warped my sense of hot and cold..

Nick, my battery is about 5 years old, and I didn't realize it was that old until I was removing it to charge...I went ahead and tried to charge it...then got real and just replaced it.
