Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Just loved this one!! As a fanatic fan of Star Trek (please, exclude from that the trash movies being done now with Chris Pine) I just love the Enterprise. This Enterprise is the Bandai 1/850 kit, that actually come predecorated. and with complete wiring to lights. I would recommend it to any Star Trek fan, it builds very easily, without issues, and results on a cool looking model. 1930fordpickup Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 This is cool, reminds me of my late brother.
TooOld Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Looks pretty cool Tulio ! I've never seen that kit before , thanks for posting it .
Ju Ju Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 WOW ! 1/850 scale ? That ship must be huge in real life. I always liked Star Trek better than Star Wars.......
Jim B Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Nice job. I like your photography. How did you do the "in space" look?
Greg Cullinan Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Does look good. Prob better than the ones they used for the show. The lights are a nice detail too.
am73grand Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Nice build! I built one of these myself and it is a fantastic kit!!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Nice job. I like your photography. How did you do the "in space" look? That was easy. I just took pictures of the ship against the night sky with the camera settings at the higher ISO and without flash. I was holding the ship by it's base, that contains the batteries. Then I just erased the base on Photoshop, and I was done.

Guest Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) WOW ! 1/850 scale ? That ship must be huge in real life. I always liked Star Trek better than Star Wars....... Not really, at 1/650 is is about 18 " or so, so smaller than that. Now the 1/350 one, and the 1/350 TOS Enterprise are almost 3 feet in length. Those are big! Nice assembly work. fantacmet Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Nice I have both the 350 scale ones from Polar Lights. The ToS I got as a Christmas present from the wife and then I bought the lighting kit for it. Gonna be a FUN one. This looks great. I'm a big Trekkie
unclescott58 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The Ban Dai Enterprise comes both pre-painted and lighted? Cool! Do they offer any other Star Trek models? And I wonder if we can get them in the US? Scott
Agent G Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 That is a great looking Enterprise. Scott the only time I've seen the Bandai kit or any of the others besides Revell and Polar Lights is at the Star Trek convention here in Las Vegas. As you can imagine the vendor area is ENORMOUS and one entire corner is models and built ups. The kits are expensive as all get out too. G

(I worked for the company that distributed them at the time). They're out of production now, but pop up on eBay. 1/850 Enterprise refit (later reisssued as Enterprise-A with decals for sister ships) 1/850 Enterprise NX-01 1/1700 Enterprise-E 1/850 Voyager (last of the line, very rare) Aoshima also made a very similar pre-painted and lighted 1/2000 kit of the Enterprise-D Edited May 22, 2014 by Brett Barrow

Detail painting spacecraft can be a bit of pain. Star Trek or others. So wish more kits like Bandai's were offered. I'd love get my hands on a Bandai like TOS Enterprise and the Enterprise from the new movies with Chris Pine. Sorry Tulio, I like the new movies. A lot! But, to each his own. Scott
Agent G Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 The new movies are ok, but I am a TOS kind of guy. I always loved Lt Uhuru. Zoe Saldana is cute as all get out but, she's not Nichelle Nichols. G
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Was that expensive!?! I paid the equivalent to 120 Dollars. Bought her on e-Bay Brazil. Think is about the same price at e-Bay U.S. You just have to get lucky on the bidding.
Belugawrx Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Cool Maybe just a bit of putty to fill the light leak at the seam And a bit of weathering... unless its new out of the dock!?! And a tripod Otherwise... Very nice Keep them coming Cheers
