tqfastfish Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 HI, I've been building models for all my life that I can remember. Me and my brother used to build them and play with them but they were never "right" (missing parts, bad paint, ect) I just recently got back into model building when I got 6 models for christmas. a plymouth superird,1971 cuda,1971 gtx,1969 gtx and a foose firebird and a mustang 3 in 1 kit. Im a all mopar guy. I lived around mopars my whole life and I have a 1968 dart and 68 cuda im restoring. I ended up using the mustang kit as parts and I don't know what im going to do with the Pontiac. The models im building now are going to be way better then from when I was 7. oh by the way my names Cole.
tqfastfish Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) Welcome Cole... Thankyou very much. Edited December 28, 2013 by tqfastfish

Bernard Kron Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Welcome Cole. Your introduction reads like a modeling veteran! Can't wait to see your stuff!
cobraman Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Welcome Cole. Lots of great people here to learn from. I won't hold the fact that you like Mopars against you ! : )
Shelby 427 1965 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Welcome, have fun! It can feel daunting being a younger member surrounded by all these amazing builds but the people here are always happy to help... They aren't bad really
Nitro Neil Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Welcome to the forum Cole. I don't know where you are in Vermont, but there is a Model Car and Toy Show in Bennington on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.
Dragfreak Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Welcome to the forum!, Its nice to see another young member building models. I'm just a few years older than you and I believe you are the youngest member here. You'll learn a lot here, and your skills will improve drastically. I would really like to see some of your past builds if you'd like to post some pictures of them here.
Foxer Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Welcome to THE forum, Cole. It's good to see young people building ... I started centuries ago!
tqfastfish Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Thanks, My old cars are nothing to take pics of but I will take pics of mine in progress builds and post them up- currently I have a 1970 cuda and a 1971 gtx going but I just traded a foose firebird for a 1970 aar cuda, 1967 dodge coronet,1970 dodge challenger T/A,1968 dart gts,1968 dodge charger and a vts viper dodge truck. All are already built and are a little rough but Im going to be restoring them. I like restoring the old ones and bringing them back to life better than oob so I should be expecting those soon. my80malibu Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Allright, Cole. Welcome to the forum, I liked the first line in your introduction "HI, I've been building models for all my life that I can remember." And your only 12. I am near 50 and like you got started young. I hope you have a long exciting life building all kinds of Models.
tqfastfish Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks a lot, after I re read I thought that was kind of funny! haha
charlie8575 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Welcome, Cole. I used to teach high school in Wilmington and almost ended up at Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. I've been through Georgia- pretty little town. I ended up staying in Massachusetts, although, at least for now, have moved on to other work besides teaching aside from a little substituting and an occasional tutoring job. If you can wrangle your folks into bringing you down, MassCar has its show on March 16 in Taunton, Ma. Figure you'll need about 3-3-1/2 hours. I'd recommend I-89->I-93->I-495, to exit 9. We'd love to have you come down this year if you can, or any year. Charlie Larkin
