bbowser Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Not a fan of those wheels but what a beautiful model! Great work.
1972coronet Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Spectacular attention to detail ; top notch craftsmanship ; just plain gorgeous ! Now , I must admit that , I , too , am not a fan of the tyres / wheels in a general sense ; however , they look right at home here . Would I prefer a set of Astro Supremes or chromed steel wheels with Spyder Caps ? Yes . But , this is your car . And , you've created one splendid piece :)
Erik Smith Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 That is one very beautiful model. I love the color scheme - black, chrome, and red - outstanding paint job too.
am73grand Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 VERY VERY nice build. I love everything about it. I've always wanted to try a low rider.......you've given me some inspiration!
Cool Hand Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Thanks again for all the additional comments and your Alcad is the nicest I've seen . What's your secret ? No secret really. Primed parts with Mr Surfacer 1200. I like to use this primer under Alclad as it has much finer pigments than other brand primer's. If applied correctly no wet sanding is required. Applied Alclad Gloss Black Base then let it dry for approximately an hour then applied 2 very light coats of Alclad Chrome. Let it dry for 24 hours then lightly buff parts with a very soft make up brush and tissue's. Edited January 9, 2014 by Cool Hand
1959scudetto Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Luke, this is one fantastic model! Though I prefer the classic look over lowriders or donks, this Pontiac is soooo nice!!!
Brett Barrow Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) That is reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllly sweet!!! If it were mine, it'd have Supremes and the factory tri-tone red vinyl interior, like this, or maybe even a custom black/gunmetal/silver tri-tone.... Edited January 9, 2014 by Brett Barrow
james460 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Not a big lowrider fan but that's top shelf stuff there. Color combo is perfect.
carrucha Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Sweet lowrider. Well built and finished. Good job.
