Porscheman Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) This Moebius was a joy to build.I painted it Tamiya Black, no clear but polished with Novus #2. Instead of painting the recommended tan interior, I desided a dark red gave the car a richer look to it. The windows were tinted using Tamiya clear blue. The car was built box stock. The 55 was painted using Testors black lacquer and build a year ago. I think the Tamiya black in a much deeper black, IMO Let me know what you think. Al Edited February 1, 2014 by Porscheman
Scalper Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Looks good in black. class all the way. nice job.
Harry P. Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I think it looks pretty slick. I also like the dark red interior with the black (although a tan interior would also have looked good).
Sixties Sam Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Two beauties! The black looks classy. Nice work! Sam
Nacho Z Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Those two beauties look great in black. Very nice!
slusher Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Super sharp classic builds, excellent work Al..
Ramfins59 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Those are a couple of really beautiful cars Al. I have yet to build both of these for my '50's car collection.
charlie8575 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 *DROOL* (Wiping off keyboard...yuck!) That red interior is actually very nice, Al. I could see some well-heeled owner doing exactly that- either forcing a special order or going to a trim shop and having it done. Another beauty from your workbench. Charlie Larkin
Guest Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Beuatiful Al, one thing, you forgot the headlights on the 56!
Porscheman Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Beuatiful Al, one thing, you forgot the headlights on the 56! Lee, I thought someone would catch this earlier. I was just about to put the headlights on, when I dropped them on the floor. White carpeting ate my lens . So today I went through my parts box and it's a big improvement. Everyone, thank you for the great compliments on my 300B. Al Edited February 1, 2014 by Porscheman
Chris White Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Becoming a real big fan of your museum restoration business you have !!!!! Another stunning example Al
realgone58 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Al, that's really slick! I love both of them. You're right, the dark red interior is awesome! I'd be willing to bet a couple of them were actually like this, 1:1.
