cobraman Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 OK. Maybe not what you may have been expecting. Building a Monogram 1/43 scale Cobra for a diorama I am working on. ( the build is in the diorama section if interested ). I have built one of these before and they are pretty cool little kits. Mine will try and represent one being worked on in someones garage.
freakshow12 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Looks like a fairly well detailed little kit.
afx Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I've heard good things about this kit but never actually seen one. Looking forward to following your build.
cobraman Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 This is a neat little kit with engine and pe wheels and other parts. The Corvette they had was very nice as well. Too bad they didn't sell better there could have been more.
Quick GMC Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Looks like a fairly well detailed little kit. Mine's in primer right now, i was surprised at how much detail there is. It's peaking my interest in 1/43. Edited February 16, 2014 by Quick GMC
crazyrichard Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 cobra man > cobra build > yuup haha cool kit and scale !!
TooOld Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I had to look since I don't remember the last time I saw you build a Cobra ! That kit looks very nicely detailed for a 1/43 scale kit . I've never seen one before , would you consider doing a review of it with some more photos ?
Kennyboy Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Great choice for your diorama Ray! The expensive garage queen! I like that the PE comes with the kit.
jrherald420 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Cant wait. I have been eyeing both the vette and the cobra but couldnt come off of the cash till i saw them built.
vamach1 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 After you are done you can invite over some of your other 1/43 friends.
robertw Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I have its Corvette stable mate kit but never got around to building it. Unfortunately it seems to be getting smaller by the year or is it that my eyes are just getting older ;-) They are both very nice, well detailed but unfortunately seldom built kits. Good luck on your build. rob
cobraman Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks guys. Rex, it looks like I stole your diorama idea !
Dave42 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Cool project. I don't believe I've ever seen this or the Corvette you mentioned. Looking forward to watching, and thanks for sharing.
cobraman Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Here are a couple of photo's of the one I built when they first came out many years ago. 1990 ?
bogger44 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 This should be fun to watch. Looks like a pretty good little kit. I've never seen one before.
cobraman Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks Carl. Pretty easy kit for one and since I am retired I can spend a fair amount of time building if I feel the urge.
cobraman Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 This car is done. Since it is part of a diorama you can see it in that section later today if interested.
jaydar Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 uh, we rather expected you built quite a few!!!!
cobraman Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 I have a bunch but don't build one too often.
