Ira Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 FIRE AND ICE! I painted the Fire Frog with Testors Lime Ice Spray Paint. I really like this Green Paint over the Black, much more dramatic then spraying over lighter colors. I found a couple sets of these Slixx Flame Decals. I think they will be perfect for the Fire Frog! More Coming...

Jantrix Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 So I'm a bit confuzzled. Will this be another hover vehicle or will this have wheels? Love the green paint.
Ira Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I love just watching your projects evolve. Thanks Mike!
Belugawrx Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 So I'm a bit confuzzled. Will this be another hover vehicle or will this have wheels? Love the green paint. I think I saw a starfish on that base!!

Ira Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I tuned in kinda late, but what you're doing looks like a lot of fun. Nice styling and proportions, as usual. Thanks Bill!
Ira Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Looks great Ira! Leaping across the terrain of planet X-454! Thanks Dave! This one will have BiG Wide Tires and Anti-Gravity Generators, but I think it will be an Earth Buggy...
Ira Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 HOT FROG! Here is the Fire Frog with the decals in place! ANTI-GRAVITY GENERATORS! The Vents in the bottom front and rear are the outlets for the Anti-Gravity Generators. The A-G Generators help the Fire Frog make higher jumps and softer landings. More Coming...
Ira Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 This is excellent work as always from you. I've been following this one from the beginning and my (Imaginary) hat is off. Great work and an interesting project...Keep it going. Thanks for the kind words Niko! I really appreciate it...
Ira Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 "Paint it, paint it, paint it Black! Black as night...." Although, I think green will be the perfect choice! This has been fun to watch. Thanks Jonathan!
Ira Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 NEW WHEELS! I took a while but I found a set of Mags to replace the flat Moonscope Rims. These Mags are from the AMT Silhouette Kit. I had to remove about an 1/16 inch from the inner rims to fit the Mags in the Moonscope Tires. I removed the chrome from the Mags and painted the Wheels with Model Masters Magnesium. Here are the Silhouette Wheels mounted in the Moonscope Tires. More Coming...

Ira Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 So I'm a bit confuzzled. Will this be another hover vehicle or will this have wheels? Love the green paint. Thanks Rob! Good Timing, I just posted the New Wheels & Tires for the Frog, Moonscope Tires with Mag Wheels. There are also Anti-Gravity Generators to help Fire Frog Jump higher and Land Softer. The A-G Generators are meant only to assist the Dune Buggy when necessary, not for full-time floating...

Ira Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 WATER BASE! I applied a couple coats of Testors Wet Look Clear Lacquer and let it dry. Then I hand painted the Interior with Vallejo's "Brown Sand" Acrylic Paint. I use water base paints here because when I make mistakes I can wipe them right off. I also painted the Engine Compartment with Vallejo's Flat Black. This photo shows how well the one coat of Vallejo Paint covers over flat black and very shiny Green. More Coming...
