Young iron Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Here's a build-up maybe some of you already know. Finished a few years now in actual T-7 Saddle bronze metallic. Here in France, it's a pain you know where to get OEM spray cans. They're considered hazardous material, and can't be bought at a decent price. But, we are lucky enough to go to Norauto. Norauto is a popular car service and accessories chain, where you can find good spray cans, and some EOM references are available, such as T-7 metallic. Build-up features Recall wheels, wired Hemi, corrected door panels and 1967 amt Impala tires. I wanted to make her look likle a luxurious coupe ordered by a Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hide young guy, Doctor the day, but wild racer at night, thus the American Super Sleeper nickname... Pictures are a few years old. Telephone can takes better ones now. Since the models changed very little, feel free to ask for more pics. : ) Family picture with a 1968 Roasdunner and a 1969 Charger Ooops, RR's hood stayed open. ; )

Monty Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) Welcome to our board! You and mangodart (another French modeler on here) have both shown us some excellent examples of your skills in assembly and painting. You certainly found some great colors for those three old Mopars. Hope you'll post again soon. Edited February 22, 2014 by Monty
realgone58 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Super super nice! One of my favorite colors on these!
W-409 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Really nice looking build. I like the paint job a lot, it looks very smooth and shiny. The red stripes on those tires are really sharp, too. Are they decals? Great Job! BTW: I saw you're from Nice. I just spent four days there (From Monday to Thursday) and it's a real nice place. Are there more Hobby Shops near that place? I visited in Modelisme 2000 that was on Rue de l'Hôtel des Postes, but there weren't that many cars. I bought a '09 Challenger that will be built as a Drag Pack car, but if I'll do another visit in Nice, I'd like to know if there are more shops? Again, great work with the GTX.
Young iron Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Thanx guys. Mangodart (Emmanuel) is actually one of my closest friends. We first met on another famous forum, then became friends in real life. Earlier this morning we drove 400 kilometers together in my 1987 Mercedes 300SE to see a 1976 Buick Skylark for purchase. The buick was gone too far for us. Nice is, hey, a very nice place. Except for modeling ! Back in the 80's you could find model kits at every book shop (they sold toys as well). Some of these remained unsold till the late 1990's, but today's classics were yesterday's junk. Same as cars. Today, to buy kits or accessories at a decent price, we have to order on the web. Including international shipping and local taxes.
