Dave B Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) Have just finished this one off. It's from Paul at Fisher Pattern & Model. Have yet to work out the most effective way of putting the race # on the mesh/grille. Only problem I had was not placing the oil cooler far enough over on the passenger side thus not allowing me to fit scratch made leather bonnet straps Tks for looking Dave B Edited February 23, 2014 by Bantoft
1930fordpickup Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Very nice. Could you dry brush the number on the grill ?
Rossa156 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Dave, The Cunningham looks excellent. I saw the car at Cunningham's museum in SoCal back in the '70's and at Laguna's Historics. Paul is a friend of mine and he makes some wonderful kits that are engineered to go together so well. It is a really nice beastie! Patrick
Dave B Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Tks for the comments guys, appreciated. Hi Patrick, I have 3 more of Paul's kits, as I'm retiring tomorrow I may get a little more building time, wife permitting!!! Andy, I have thought of dry brushing the # on, I think that is the way I'll have to go. Skip, Just a curbside. You could open it up but the casting is fairly thick and would take considerable time. Ciao Dave
Bill J Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Nice job on the Cunningham. I love those old road race cars. Your model does the Cunningham proud!
Roncla Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Thats nice work. The Fisher kits are a great way to get started with resin. They build up easily in to a sharp model that really captures the look.
Dave B Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Beautiful build Dave, are the stripes decals or paint? Tks guys, JC, the stripes are painted. Dave
