Sportabout Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Great built and fine color. I love these old AMC:s. Matador Coupe was one of the finest car in 70's. Hope to own one someday.
David G. Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Well Done! These old AMC's are sorely underrepresented in the modeling world and I always enjoy seeing them. David G.
mikemopar70 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Nice Matador! Great build of an old kit! I like it!
Greg Cullinan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 The color really brings this to life. Looks cool.
Dave Van Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Owning a 1/1 Matador I can say you nailed it!!!! And an FYI this odd duck is a really great car. Mine has huge sway bars front and rear and the AMC V-8 and big disk brakes makes it fun to drive over some other cars of the era......COOL
TooOld Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Great looking model Alan ! Congrats on a really nice job . I think it's one of AMC's best looking cars! I was overseas for most of the 70's and missed all of those strange designs . Back then there wasn't much news from home so when I got back to the states and saw all of them I couldn't believe how bad they were ! Now I really love 'em , guess they grow on you !
realgone58 Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 I always thought they were kind of ugly too, but they do have a way of growing on you over the years. I don't mind them now. I'd drive one. Still can't sell me on a Pacer though!
om617 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Never seen a model of this car, very cool and nicely done
Skydime Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Never actually clicked on one of these built before. It's quite nice, if I must say so, myself.
charlie8575 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Gotta agree with Harry, next to the first-generation Javelin/AMX and the 1965-66 Ambassador, I think that's the best-looking car AMC ever came up with. Nice work on that, Al. Charlie Larkin
hvymtl Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Really a good looking color on it and just nice workmanship on the whole car . i would own one. especially since i have a friend who has a stroked 401 making 700 hp and 9.0's easily in a 73 hornet. i like the 67 68 ambassadors they looked chevellish in ways . Sad AMC was one of the cool companies that shouldn't have gone away. Michael
62rebel Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 another fine example of a builder's work instead of an assembler's. great job; love the color; it screams 1975 all over.
realgone58 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 another fine example of a builder's work instead of an assembler's. great job; love the color; it screams 1975 all over. Thank you man, that means a lot! Also, thanks to everyone for the compliments.
