Thank you! I made a little bit of progress on some of the interior, it's not quite there yet but it's getting done. So far I have all the parts painted and I started detailing the dash and door panels.

I'm not crazy about how those pin heads came out, they look a little out of whack. I may take them out. I went with gauges from protech instead of the kit decal just to give it a little more of a custom look.

Back when I was a kid our neighbor worked for the American Red Cross and his company car was a blue 1967 Malibu. I remember thinking that the dashboard looked odd with the controls across the top.

As far as making dash knobs, check around for different size pin heads. I found a bunch of different sizes at JoAnne's Fabric store. And check for ship building supplies at the hobby shop. I have brass ones with some detail on them, can be painted silver too. And of course one pack is a life time supply.

Those are the brass ship nails on the dash.

I got just a little bit further on the interior. Some blue flocking for carpet, and some pretty cool chevy floor mats from plastic dreams. Also the dash has some under dash gauges, and is still going to get a tach mounted up top which I haven't gotten around to adding yet. Also I still have to paint and detail the center console.

that motor looks awesome. I love the detail on the door panels and that paint is sexy. but I don't know if it is just me but it almost looks like the carpet sparkles or maybe has some whit mixed in there. I think the whole build looks great.

Got some stuff in the mail this week. Rotors and calipers from dirt modeler and some Pegasus wheels. I also started putting together the from suspension with home made springs. I also cut up the grill so I can use a photo etch one instead. The head lights were stripped and are going to be painted with alclad. Sorry if the pics are a little blurry I'm using my cell phone.

Those are some cool looking stripes and a great color choice. Great derail all the way around. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I finally got color on the hood. It basically had to be taken back apart, and filled again and sanded. I'll get a picture up tonight. Also I wanted 572 badging somewhere on the car, so I cut up a 307 and a 502 badge out of the 70 chevelle detail set and made my own. It looks a little crooked in the picture because of how close up it is, but to someone looking at it with their eyes it looks straight. Thanks for looking

Really nice color and I like how the stripes came out. Those brakes look really cool too. Where did you get them from? I know you said Dirt Modeler, but I am not familiar with that. Is that an aftermarket co?

Rich, would you consider a thin acrylic black wash in those letters? I think it might add some depth that would really make them pop.

Thanks guys. Dirt modeler is an aftermarket company, they carry some really cool stuff. I'm a little hesitant to black wash the numbers. They're super tiny and I'm afraid of knocking them off, if I do I would probably have to use a needle to get paint in there. I didn't have a chance to get anything done on this last night. Hopefully I can get some time in today. Thanks for looking guys.

WOW!

This build just keeps getting better and better every time I look!

Your mastery of BMF is absolutely amazing!!

I have been considering VCG resin on some purchases and

after seeing Your work with the 572 I "will" be making several now!

I am familiar with the Createx line of paints as I have used them air brush t-shirts,

this line of auto air paints, I will have to check out now, Thanks to You. :)

"Dirt Modeler" have You more info to share on this one?

I look forward to seeing more of Your build ^_^

Thank You for sharing

Later
