Hawk312 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Some of you who have been on other building forums for a while may remember a while back, like over a decade ago, I built an Eleanor inspired `66 Fastback. I had another kit of the `66 lying around for years, and I wanted to do everything I feel I missed and correct some of my mistakes on the previous one. The was the intent. However, it sort of evolved to what you see here, and it turned into a decent in-between project, IMO. Alot of parts were used from the GT500 kit, including the interior and engine. Many parts were scratch built. Let me know what you think!
Frank Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 wow, that is one nice shiny build, good choice of colours.
Ford guy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Awesome build Hawk. I really like the way you've kept the classic Mustang look while adding the modern drivability. Great color combo, and you did a nice job redoing the interior. Very good build, looks fantastic.
58 Impala Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Beautiful job, excellent paint. If that were a real 1:1 Mustang, I wouldn't mind having it in my driveway.
krazyglu Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 You built a very nice model here, paint, BMF and interior are flawless.
slusher Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Beautiful mustang. Great use of new and older mustang parts...

Kennyboy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Beautiful job on this David! Do I spot a little Jada wheel influence?? Wheels, Body, Engine.....everything is spot-on! Excellent build sir!!!
rickcaps55 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 That is awesome the colors the body work every thing very nice.
Hawk312 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really appreciate it! Do I spot a little Jada wheel influence?? Right you are sir! I wanted to do Haldibrands, but didn`t want to do the Eleanor wheels. I wanted to do something a little different. It is interesting to see the responses here. One another forum, they aren`t to fond of those wheels. But I like them on this, and I guess that is what matters. :/ Edited March 8, 2014 by Hawk312
