Lownslow Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Wasnt content with the aggressive lines of the aventador and being a fan of the Kawashima Celica, Bosozoku cars and Liberty Walk, Its safe to say i nailed combining all 3. Most agravating part of this build wouldve been shaping the flares had i not figured out a trick of making the parts removable using a technique i learned from working on diecastssetting up the shape i want early stages of flaring after drying i carefully peeled the parts off then sanded this is where im at now the front fenders are ready for primer after scribing and drilling rears still need work being that its a Boso inspired build, do expect a crazy exhaust and wheels, also working on a widebody panamera but this forum has a hardon against diecasts and the people who build em so ill save the how to and the rest of the pics for facebook.
Lownslow Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Primer phase and 3d printed one offs showed up originally 5 lugs i went for centerlock
Lownslow Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 needed a better base for the nail polish to show, first color was purple but turned blue after it sprayed. So back to black till i found a alternative
Lownslow Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Color time, wheels werent cleaned up wanted a raw finish shot with metalizer, the purple is a HOK/nailpolish mix.
Lownslow Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 heres how it sits the weather got too cold to do anything again so im stuck like this for a little bit the clear is testors model masters, stretched the tires out for that hippari look.
lanesteele240 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 This is cool and i will say you are pretty good at the 3d printing thing
Jeremy Mahovlich Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first but you have created a wonderful model car. I love the lines and they suit the Lambo very well. Good job! I am looking forward to its completion. Edited March 25, 2014 by Jeremy Mahovlich
afx Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Not really my kind of build but I am very impressed with your flairs.
Austin T Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Beautiful so far. I think I saw you post a glimpse of this on scale imports right? Can't wait to see this finished.
WizPorsche944 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Don't really like newer Lambos but I am liking the look of this one.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Man, looking better and better as it evolves. I like the extra dose of aggressiveness the flares add, and they work well with the Lambo lines. Nice work. Your custom wheel center design picks up the angularity of the body folds and creases, and the color is really a grabber too.
dirtracer2448 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) These views make me want to build one now! Is there any chance you are casting the flares? If so, I'll be waiting in line. Edited March 26, 2014 by dirtracer2448
Lownslow Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 was going to, but then i came to the conclusion it wouldnt be a one off if i did

Ryan S. Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 What type of material did you use for the flairs? They look great and I need to do something similar. Cool build so far!
