Thanks. Its so easy. I just stripped some speaker wire and removed strands until it looked like the right thickness then twist it back up, bend it to the shape you want then just glob some black paint on it to make it look like its wrapped in electrical tape. Where they terminate at bulkheads and other things..I only sliced square or round styrene rods, drilled a tiny hole thru it and slide the wire thru it. I do that before I paint it. The hooks are only just pop can aluminum cut thin, glued at one end to the firewall, then just bend it over the wires after

I had a '73 Duster 340 I ordered in June of '72. I worked for a Chrysler/Plymouth dealer at the time, got it for $100 over invoice. I believe out the door it was a little under $2,900. It was delivered to the dealer August 15th, I couldn't register it until August 31st.

It was a bare bones Duster 340 with 4 speed,3:23 Sure Grip, power discs, AM/FM radio and stripe delete. Color was Chestnut Poly with a Honey Gold bench interior with black rubber floor mat.

It was quick, street raced it here and there, never got hassled by the police. Looked like a standard 6 cylinder Duster, only the rumble of the exhaust gave it away that it wasn't a Slant 6. A real "Plain Brown Wrapper" sleeper.

I got hit head on by a drunk driver in May of '74, she was totaled. I luckily walked away with only bruises on my shoulder from the harness.

Thanks. Means alot. Bisc63..its not flocking..only gold embossing powder clearcoated with flat paint. And Fulltimehobyist..its a piece of steel wire. I think I drilled a hole in the old knob and glued the wire to it. I dont think straight pins will bend. They just snap when I try to bend them anyway.

I agree freakshow. I really wanted plymouth rally wheels but the ones I wanted are 1:24 so I had to grind them to reduce the diameter and did not turn out that good. But they are temporary until I find proper 1:25 steel wheels without the slots. I remember having a set but threw them away not thinking I would have any use if them.
