Dave42 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Hey, A model here that's been done a while, but I had more fun with it than most, so thought I'd post. Made the filters from egg carton, and some other little engine details, but one of my very few two tone paint jobs and I wasn't sure about the color combo, but once it was done, I liked it. Hope you like it and thanks for looking at my stuff. Dave a few more pics here: http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/street-cars/dodge-440/my-first-album/ Edited April 12, 2014 by Dave42
Belugawrx Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 That is somethin' Great foil job!! What led you to use the diff. wheels? Love the Root Beer, but the gold seems to take it away Nonetheless Beauty Cheers
MyBradKeselowski Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Dodge is outstanding ! ! ! Beautiful paint ! ! !
MsDano85gt Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 wow awsome older mopar, two tone really sets it off, love the decals too just enough for that race look, yet not too over the top
PappyD340 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Looks FANTASTIC Dave, great color combo and I love the decal detail!!
Dave42 Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Wow, I really appreciate the positive response! Thank you all! Bruce, I just didn't like the kit wheels, wanted some steelies out back, and always have like that wheel that's on the front. I was imagining the car with all Chrome wheels and thought when the guy felt going around beating on it a little,...he'd slap those "don't get my nice wheels dirty" on, and play around. Yep, I act like I'm about 11 years old when I build my models! ....oh, and yea, I wasn't sure about the two colors together, but I like it now that I see it. I do appreciate your honest critique! Thanks again for looking and taking the time to comment on my stuff. Edited April 12, 2014 by Dave42
Mopar - D Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Dave very nice build I like your colors and the stripes. I've read that the Max wedge had problems with air filters and that the paper filters were developed for this engine like the ones you have here.
sjordan2 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Excellent craftsmanship all around, and the interior shown on your Fotki page is also great.
rustybill1960 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 This build is very nice all the way around Thank You for sharing Later Russ
mnwildpunk Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Color combination is excellent and one more question can I take her for a spin around the block he he
