crazyjim Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Finally finished this puppy after having to strip it 4 different times. I guess the 150 was a pretty basic Chevy, so I used Rustoleum texture paint on the interior instead of flocking. Kinda/sorta gives the inside a basic look. I decided to use the 4 bbl option on the engine instead of the FI. Oh - instead of normal black & white, I used HOK snowhite pearl and black pearl.
bbowser Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Very cool! My neighbor has a 210 hardtop, straight 6, three on the tree in this exact color scheme. Is that the Black Widow kit?
crazyjim Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Thank you Bruce. Yup, the Black Widow and it's a very nice kit.
cobraman Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Looks good. I rather like the look of the textured paint.
crazyjim Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Thanks Lee & Ray. ray, you need to get some of that texture paint. It's really neat stuff for replicating undercoating, bed liners, and who knows what else.
slusher Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 That is a clean and beautiful build. Love it Jim..
Chris White Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 that is the calmest colours, I have seen you build with. Absolutely beautiful piece of work
mikemopar70 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Your Chevy is beautiful! Well built and clean! I love it...
Helix Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Very nice work Jim, nice colour combo and the textured finish looks great! I've often thought about using the 'floquil' textured paint to do interiors.
Curt Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Beautiful build! You made some good paint choices, Jim.
charlie8575 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Very subtle, Jim. You feeling okay? Seriously, that looks really great. Good work on that. Charlie Larkin
