Roncla Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 This is Tamiyas' 911 GT2 kit with the addition of a C1 Models Rauh Welt trans kit. This was a challenging build as the supplied body shell needed a lot of work to get it to fit and in to shape. I added Hobby Design brakes and machined my own wheel rims to fit modified Tamiya wheel centres. The front and side skirts were lowered and Hobby Design rivets added. The wheel arches were also modified to add to the the buxom look these cars are known for.
PappyD340 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Super NICE build, looks to me like you met the challenge! well done Ron!
Harry P. Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Beautifully done. That could almost pass for real.
krazyglu Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Right click, save....wow you did a outstanding job on this build. You nailed the RAUH-Welt look and it sound's like it took some effort to do so. The rivet's look great and the wheel/tire stance is perfect. I love everything about it Ron, display this thing proudly.
Grumpa Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Beautiful build Ron! This is what a 911 should look like. Love it!
crazyjim Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Very fine looking build. I like that body style and, of course, I love the SHINY :)
Scalper Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Wow that is sweet. Your hard work paid off it looks great.
Bernard Kron Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Immaculate. I loved following the w.i.p. on this. The result shows it was worth all the effort.
