Mopar - D Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 This is the MPC King Cuda kit that came with the 69 front and rear grills and 68 side markers. I originally built it box stock. The rebuild has a 68 conversion kit from Bandit resins, Revell 68 Dart chassis and engine compartment, Ross Gibson 340 and MCW Plymouth Electric Blue with Model Masters gloss clear coat plus Keith Marks decals. WIP is posted in on the work bench. Your comments are always welcome and appreachated.
freakshow12 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I like it. I just don't get what's going on with the rear wheel well in the last pic
Danno Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Chassis is out of alignment with the body. Otherwise, nice looking Baccaruda!!
charlie8575 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Very nice. This car badly need a new tool kit. Agreed. On both counts. Like the display base, too. Charlie Larkin
mikemopar70 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This 1968 turned out really good! I like your conversion..
Mopar - D Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks for the comments guys I agree a new tooling would be nice there's a lot of work getting the Dart chassis to fit.
Speedfreak Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Nice save Dan. A '68 Dart with a 340 would be a fun car to drive!
Mopar - D Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Thanks again guys yea the 340 would be fun in this car. My brother had a 273 with a 4 speed that was fun.
om617 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 That is quite the transformation. The engine detail is impressive, all the little hoses etc. Turned out great.
